The Maharashtra CET Cell has declared the MAH CET ME/MTECH Counselling 2025 schedule on the official website: me2025.mahacet.org. The MAH CET 2025 counselling portal link is also be activated on the website. Candidates willing to be admitted to vacant seats in participating institutes must appear for the counseling procedure, which entails registration, payment of fees, document verification, seat allotment, and final admission.

MAH CET ME/MTECH 2025

Maharashtra M.Tech admissions are controlled by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Since DTE does not conduct a separate entrance examination for M.Tech programs, admissions are based on the GATE score. Candidates qualifying through GATE 2025 will be included in the MAH CET ME/MTECH merit list published by the DTE Maharashtra. The seat allotment is done in three rounds of counseling. After successful counseling, candidates must choose their preferred choice to claim admission.

MAH CET ME/MTECH Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility conditions for Maharashtra State candidates as well as All India candidates are specified below:

  • The candidate must be an Indian national.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for candidates belonging to Maharashtra's reserved categories, including Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Disabilities).
  • Should have a valid, non-zero GATE score for the current academic year.
  • Sponsored applicants should have at least two years of full-time work experience in an organization recognized or registered by the government.

MAH CET ME/MTECH Counseling Application Process

The candidates can fill out the Maharashtra MTech application form for counseling using the following steps.

The candidate has to go to the official website of MAHCET to register for the Counselling Process. The application form for Maharashtra MTech counseling can be opened using the application number and password, filling in the required details, and submitting the application form

The candidate must fill in all the required particulars and complete the MAH CET ME/MTECH registration. An application number and password will be generated and sent to the candidate's registered email ID.

Application Fee

After paying the MAH CET ME/MTECH application fee, registration for Maharashtra M.Tech Admission/Counseling 2025 is completed. The fee structure is as follows:

MAH CET ME/MTECH Counseling Admission Process

The Maharashtra M.Tech admissions process happens through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) comprising three counseling rounds. Here are the details of the MAH CET ME/MTech 2025 CAP process:

MAHCET Registration

Candidates must first register for CAP on the official website. Only candidates who have completed and submitted the MAH CET ME/MTECH application form will be eligible to participate in the counseling process.

MAHCET Document Verification

After registration, candidates must proceed to the Facilitation Centre (FC) assigned to them for document verification. Other than the original documents used to support the details given in the application form, verification and confirmation of the application is mandatory for further participation.

MAHCET Release of the Merit List

After the application process, the admissions authority will publish the Maharashtra M.Tech Admission Merit List. This list comprises the names of those candidates who have been shortlisted for MAH CET ME/MTECH counseling based on the details provided in their applications. Each selected candidate is given a unique merit number.

The MAH CET ME/MTECH 2025 merit list mainly publishes the GATE scores of the candidates. Initially, a provisional merit list shall be prepared on that basis, giving some time for the applicants to file objections in case of any wrongs. All the valid objections would be examined, and the final merit list would be prepared. No further challenges or objections would stand once the final merit list is declared.

MAHCET Notification of Category-wise Seat Matrix

The Admission Authority will release a detailed MAH CET ME/MTECH 2025 seat matrix for all participating institutes in different categories. It will include detailed information about each institute, the available courses, and the seats under each category. This matrix will be published before every CAP round.

MAHCET Online Submission and Confirmation of the Options Form

For each CAP round, candidates must fill in their preferred courses and institutes as per the officially released seat matrix. They may select a minimum of 1 and up to 300 options arranged in order of decreasing preference. Seat allotment will be carried out according to the options submitted.

MAHCET Provisional Seat Allocation

Seats are offered on a provisional basis according to candidate preferences submitted during option entry. The candidate must report to the designated Admission Reporting Center (ARC) for their allotted seat on the prescribed date and time for confirmation.

CAP Round 1:

  • MAH CET ME/MTECH Seat allotment results for CAP Round 1 will be declared on the official website.
  • Candidates who are allotted the first preference automatically freeze their seats. Such candidates will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counseling. They must report to the Admission Reporting Center (ARC) to check documents and pay the seat acceptance fee. Not reporting to ARC will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
  • Candidates who were allotted a seat that was not their first choice but still want to accept (freeze) the allotment must appear at the ARC and pay the seat acceptance fee. These candidates will be eligible for upgradation in subsequent CAP rounds.
  • Candidates who have not been allotted their top choice and have opted not to confirm their current allotment at the ARC will remain eligible to participate in further CAP rounds.

CAP Round 2

The MAH CTE ME/MTECH 2025 allotment results for CAP Round 2 will be posted on the official site. The procedure thereafter will remain the same as for CAP Round 1.

CAP Round 3

Like the rest of the seat allotments, this is the final stage of MAH CET ME/MTECH counseling. CAP Round 3 will also display the results on the official site. For students, it is the last chance to get admission via CAP.

Reporting to the Institute

Candidates must personally report to their allotted institutes to finalize the admission process. MHA CET ME/MTECH 2025 Admission will be confirmed only after all necessary documents and admission fees are submitted.

Filling-Up Of Vacant Seats

In case of any vacant seats, the MHA CET ME/MTECH admission process would be carried out by the respective institutes as follows:

  • A notice regarding the vacant seats will be published on the institute's official website and in newspaper advertisements.
  • Applications would be invited from registered candidates.
  • A merit list would be prepared from amongst these applicants and displayed on the institute's notice board and the university website.
  • The remaining admission process would be carried out as prescribed by the government.

MAH CET ME/MTECH Admission 2025 Required Documents

All candidates applying for centralized admission shall upload the required documents when filling out the application forms online. They must also take the original documents for verification and scrutiny at the mentioned facilitation center, according to the stated rules of the competent authority. The following is a list of required documents:

  • SSC (Class 10) Mark sheet.
  • HSC Diploma Certificate.
  • Graduation Examination Mark Sheets.
  • Valid GATE Scorecard.
  • Certificate of Indian Nationality.
  • Domicile Certificate of the candidate/father/mother (if applicable).
  • Employer certificate stating that the candidate's father/mother, a Central Government or Government of India Undertaking employee, is currently posted in Maharashtra (if applicable).
  • An employer certificate confirming that the candidate's father or mother is employed with the Maharashtra State Government or its undertakings (if applicable) is required.
  • A certificate stating that the candidate belongs to the Maharashtra–Karnataka border area (if applicable).
  • Certificate stating that Marathi is the candidate's mother tongue (if applicable).
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable).
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Eligibility Certificate (if applicable).

Note: All original documents must be scanned and uploaded to support the information filled in the application form when submitted.

MAH CET ME/MTECH 2025 Reservation

Maharashtra applicants will benefit from applying for MAH CET ME/MTECH seat reservation during the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for MAH CET ME/MTECH Admission/Counseling 2025. The reservation percentages denote fixed portions of seats reserved for candidates of certain categories.
