- First thing I liked about my university was that it has a great co-op program and carreer opportunities.
- Second thing is that it has practical and project-based learning.
- Third thing I liked was diverse specializations & certificates.
Dislikes
- First thing I disliked is that Dalhouie has large class sizes which leads to less professor interaction to per student.
- Second thing is that sometimes I feel that the sometimes the grading is more dependent on the test and labs which includes attendance.
- Third, because the rooms are large so sometimes students face hard to time to read from the board, although some classrooms has screens for it.
- I chose to live off-campus during my period at Dalhousie University. I preferred to live off-campus mostly because I value the flexibility, autonomy, and cost effectiveness that comes with it compared to residency in the dormitories offered by the campus.
- Living off-campus also presented me with the chance to be familiar with the city as well as take control of my daily life.
- I managed to find my accommodations through my contacts. Before arriving in Halifax, I had contacts that I had identified and who were actual residents of Halifax and were aware of their housing situation. I had asked for their assistance in finding a good and safe place where I could stay. With their help and contacts, I managed to get my accommodations without having to use real estate firms or online websites that I do not know. This was made easier through my contacts that I had in Halifax and which prevented scams that sometimes target international students.
- The monthly rent charges for my housing are affordable and fit into my budget. The rent covers basic facilities such as provision of a furnished room, access to a common kitchen, toilet, and common areas. The electricity costs, heating, and internet services are either covered by rent or paid for on a shared basis with very minimal charges.
- The housing is ideal for student life as it is safe and favorably conducive.
- One of the difficulties I faced in searching for my accommodation is the limited options, mainly during peak periods where many students are looking for accommodation at the same time. Secondly, it was necessary for me to ensure the accommodation was situated near the campus and public transport. Thirdly, for an international student, it might be difficult to judge the standard of accommodation without viewing it yourself, hence why it was beneficial for me to have some local connections.
- Recommending from my past experience, I would say that it is always advisable for students to begin looking for housing options well in time, especially from reliable sources.
- Networking with seniors, alumni, or those already residing in the city can prove valuable. It is always essential to verify the terms of rental, facilities provided, and accessibility to the campus before entering into any agreement.
- My residence is situated at a convenient distance from Dalhousie University so that traveling daily is easy. It is a general preference of most Indian students to stay in neighboring residential areas or on prominent routes of public transport so that traveling costs and time are minimized.

- The only thing I dislike is the fees are pretty high, which is same for all the universities these days.
- You can find accommodation through Facebook groups. Additionally, thorugh this facebook groups you can find other students travelling to Canada at the same time.
- As far as the rent it depends on the city you choose to live in. Rent normally includes heat and electricity, but some places might not include it.

- Housing Crisis - University has less space for accomodating students as part of its hostel culture.
- Harsh Weather - Since university is closed to Atlantic ocean and expect strong gusty winds , winter travel becomes difficult.
- Less Course and Staff - More Faculties and Course need to be added to diversify the area of interests for its students.
- My search started with the university's WhatsApp group. After finding the group, we added our accommodation request. Luckily, we saw the Kijiji and Facebook marketplace postings on the group, to which we responded. Since alumni from the university were leaving the city, we found the perfect time to pitch in our request and paid all the rent to secure the spot. The lease was signed online, and we found the perfect house close to Dalhousie University.

- Less Job oppurtuntites in canada
- They will not help you with Job Search.
- MACS coordinator is very rude to students
- I used online platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed for the job opportunities here.
- I am facing challenges regarding the job because the job market is not good and its difficult to get opportunities and jobs here.
- Just apply, make connections, and do cold emailing; those are my suggestions to get a good job.

- College hostels are super costly, Halifax itself is costly
- I found my in a whatsapp group, FB is also a gret place to loop for accomondations.
- My rent was 475CAD +Wifi, it included the utilities like water, electricity, laundry. Finding house was not easy took me a lot of searching, rents are really high end even if the house is in the worst condition.
- I will recommed to start finding a place to stay early. It was around 2.5 km away from the campus.

- I chose this university as I liked the course curriculum. It offered a number of career paths. Moreover, Dalhousie University is one of the well reputed universities in the country, which also makes a brand value on the CV while applying for jobs.
- The course fee is also lower as compared to similar courses in other universities which is another good reason to study at a great university in a budget.
- The course curriculum is diverse. There are ample of career paths one can pursue after this degree.

- The University is based out of Halifax, which is a small city. Most of the students have to look for jobs in other provinces and relocate after graduation. This can be tedious and also costly as one would have to pay for the basic setup in a different city.
Overall, my experience has been great at Dalhousie University. The course curriculum they offered and the Professors putting in some efforts to really see their students excel is something very rare. The university also offers a good health infrastructure to its students when needed. I have learnt a lot from my experience and that is indicated on my profile as I have such clear understanding of the concepts which I can apply in my professional experience.

- Streamlined curriculum, focused on trending stacks. They performed curriculum review every two years and updates the curriculum effectively. University campus is also so friendly you can have anytime conversation with professors. They always stays present.

- Some mandatory courses I think is not useful for all. Not all students will like to attend data management course for example. Apart from that I think course content is good and effective if one likes or have interest
Overall I had good exposure with University. I have seen growth in my knowledge as well as in communication specifically when it comes to technical talk. University offers an opportunity where we need to present our work in front of leaders, and tell about the invention we did. It is really helpful.
I did my own research. I got to know this is one of the colleges where I can apply from my range of marks. But this was the last in my last to go. I have applied to many universities like Waterloo, Alberta. According to my score, I was pretty confident that I would get into a better university for sure. Dalhousie was last in my list, but I got admission here. So I got to know the flavor of competition going on in Canada.
