Course Curriculum

10

  • The courses are very up-to-date and help you in getting placement.
  • The projects will give you exposure to some extent of industry-level work. In a day, there will be 2-3 classes depending on the subjects you opt for.

Admission Experience

  • I had a course fixed in my mind that I wanted to pursue. And only 4 universities provided this course. So I applied to 4 of them and then got admitted to Dalhousie University. Apart from this, also research about the job opportunities, average rental prices, and availability of resources in the city where your university resides.
  • Score requirements depend on the course you opt for and the university you choose. The best resource would be the university's website. Additionally, you can contact the university and get the details. They respond very promptly.

Faculty

10

  • Faculty at Dalhousie University is very nice and knowledgeable.
  • Their response time is very fast. Additionally, you are the one who can opt for any subjects you like, which gives you control over what you want to learn and shapes your career path.

Campus Life

10

  • Campus life is very nice. There are clubs, events, and lots of other things that you can be part of and expand your network.

Part Time Jobs

  • During my time, the part-time job was easier to secure with a maximum of 20 working hours per week. You go to stores, submit your resume, and if they are hiring, they will call you back.
  • You can apply through Indeed or the company's job website. Campus part-time job is on a first-come basis, and they get filled up very fast. In order to get a TA job, make sure you have good contact with your professor, as they might help you get a TA job.

Placement

8

  • Almost all my fellow batchmates secured field jobs after graduation back in 2023. But the situation changed for 2024 and 2025. So, research the job market prior to coming to Canada. Follow Facebook and Telegram groups for the latest trends.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • You can find accommodation through Facebook groups. Additionally, thorugh this facebook groups you can find other students travelling to Canada at the same time.
  • As far as the rent it depends on the city you choose to live in. Rent normally includes heat and electricity, but some places might not include it.

Exams

  • The exam that works for all universities is IELTS. You can visit the university's website for the IELTS score requirement. But there are some universities that accept PTE or CELPIP. If you are aiming for an MBA, then the GMAT is required. So based on your score, research the exam you need.
  • Other documents required are a LOR from your past university or employer, your educational transcripts, and your degree (if available).

Fees

  • Back in 2021, when I got my addmission the total program fee I calculated was 40000 to 45000 CAD with an additional 10000 CAD GIC. But now the program fees have increased, and the GIC amount has risen to 20000 CAD.
  • For the program fees, you can visit the university website, and there you will be able to get the detailed fee structure.
