Delhi University Cutoff for the EWS Category 2026: Commerce, Arts & Science

Delhi University EWS Cutoff is applicable for candidates appearing in CUET UG 2026 under the EWS category. DU reserves 10% seats for EWS candidates across its colleges and departments. This reservation benefit is available only to General Category candidates who are not covered under SC, ST, or OBC reservations.

Students usually get around 30-80 marks of relaxation depending on the course, college, and competition level.

Delhi University has released the EWS cut-offs for Round 1 and Round 2 of CSAS UG Admission 2026.

• Hindu College emerged as the most competitive college under the EWS category across Arts and Science programmes, recording the highest cut-offs in several courses.
• Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) recorded the highest EWS cut-off overall for B.Com. (Hons.) at 887.91, and the cut-off remained unchanged in both Round 1 and Round 2.
• Hindu College recorded the highest EWS Arts cut-off with 937.13 for B.A. (Hons.) Political Science in Round 1, followed by 936.33 in Round 2.
• Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) had the highest EWS cut-off for B.A. (Hons.) Psychology, closing at 860.43 in Round 1 and 851.16 in Round 2.

Important Note:

Students must have a valid EWS certificate issued in their own name at the time of registration and admission. The EWS certificate should be issued after 31 March 2026 to be considered valid for DU UG Admissions 2026.

DU EWS Commerce cut-off for 2026 BCom (Hons)

• Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) recorded the highest EWS cut-off for B.Com. (Hons.) at 887.91, followed by Hindu College (885.51), Lady Shri Ram College for Women (875.69), and Hansraj College (874.68).
• The Round 2 EWS cut-offs remained unchanged for SRCC, Hindu College, LSR, and Hansraj College, while most other colleges witnessed a slight decline. Kirori Mal College recorded a marginal drop from 871.48 to 870.54, and Sri Venkateswara College declined from 860.63 to 858.34.
• Among the listed colleges, Gargi College (770.32), Indraprastha College for Women (772.53), and Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (779.98) recorded the comparatively lower Round 2 EWS cut-offs, making them relatively less competitive than the top-ranked commerce colleges.

DU Commerce EWS Cutoff 2026 BCom

• Daulat Ram College (W) recorded the highest EWS cut-off for B.Com. among the listed colleges, with 793.52 in Round 1 and 783.55 in Round 2. It was followed by Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (784.17 – 777.07).
• All the listed colleges witnessed a decline in EWS cut-offs from Round 1 to Round 2, indicating comparatively lower closing scores in the second allocation round. The sharpest drop was recorded by Aditi Mahavidyalaya (W), from 510.54 to 428.17.
• Among the listed colleges, Aryabhatta College, Delhi College of Arts & Commerce, and Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College continued to have relatively higher EWS cut-offs, while Aditi Mahavidyalaya (W), Bhagini Nivedita College (W), and Bharati College (W) recorded comparatively lower closing scores.

DU EWS Arts cut off 2026

• Hindu College recorded the highest EWS cut-offs for B.A. (Hons.) English (851.86), Economics (825.58), and Political Science (937.13) in Round 1. Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) led the B.A. (Hons.) Psychology category with an EWS cut-off of 860.43.
• Most colleges witnessed a slight decline in EWS cut-offs from Round 1 to Round 2. However, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (ARSD) recorded no change in the B.A. (Hons.) Economics EWS cut-off, which remained 676.74 across both rounds.
• Among the listed programmes, B.A. (Hons.) Political Science remained the most competitive under the EWS category, with Hindu College (936.33) and LSR (849.59) recording the highest Round 2 cut-offs. B.A. (Hons.) Psychology continued to be highly competitive, with LSR maintaining an EWS cut-off of 851.16 in Round 2.

Round 1

• Hindu College recorded the highest EWS cut-offs across most science programmes, with B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science (761.67), Mathematics (691.29), Physics (475.54), Chemistry (393.67), and Statistics (734.76) emerging as the most competitive.
• Hansraj College and Sri Venkateswara College followed closely in terms of competition. Hansraj's EWS cut-offs reached 711.92 for Computer Science and 678.11 for Mathematics, while Sri Venkateswara recorded 694.00 for Statistics and 609.97 for Mathematics.
• Computer Science remained the most competitive science programme among the listed colleges, with EWS cut-offs crossing 700 at Hindu and Hansraj. In contrast, Chemistry witnessed comparatively lower cut-offs, ranging from 278.35 at Gargi College to 431.17 at Hansraj College.

• Hansraj College registered the highest EWS cut-off for B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry at 401.71, making it the most competitive choice for the programme among the listed colleges.
• B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science and Statistics continued to have the highest EWS cut-offs in Round 2, while Chemistry recorded comparatively lower cut-offs across most colleges, indicating relatively lower competition for admission.

EWS Eligibility

A candidate is eligible for EWS reservation if the family’s annual gross income is below ₹8 lakh from all sources, including salary, agriculture, business, and profession.

Additionally, the family should not own:

• Agricultural land of 5 acres or more
• Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. or more
• Residential plot of 100 sq. yards or more in notified municipalities
• Residential plot of 200 sq. yards or more in non-notified areas

Note: For EWS reservation eligibility, the term “family” includes the candidate, parents, spouse, children below 18 years, and siblings below 18 years. Properties and income owned by all family members are combined while determining EWS eligibility.
