Frequently Asked Questions

Ques. What is the EWS reservation in DU?

Ans. Delhi University provides 10% reservation for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category in undergraduate admissions. This reservation is available across almost all DU colleges and courses under the government reservation policy.

Ques. Which DU colleges have the highest EWS cutoffs?

Ans. Top colleges like Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Hindu College, Hansraj College, and Sri Venkateswara College generally record the highest EWS cutoffs because of their strong placements, academic reputation, and high student demand.

Ques. Does the EWS cutoff decrease in later rounds of DU CSAS admissions?

Ans. Yes, DU cutoffs often decrease in later CSAS rounds if seats remain vacant after earlier allotments. Students who do not get admission in the first round should continue participating in later rounds because many colleges release lower cutoffs afterward.

Ans. Yes, admission for EWS students is completely based on CUET UG scores through the DU CSAS portal. DU no longer conducts separate entrance exams for most undergraduate courses.

Ques. Can EWS students get admission in top DU colleges?
