Likes
- The campus has a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere — you meet people from all over the world.
- Professors are genuinely helpful and open to discussions beyond class hours.
- The libraries and study spaces are great — open late, peaceful, and well-equipped.
Dislikes
- The tuition and living expenses are definitely on the higher side for international students.
- Getting a part-time job on campus is very competitive.
- I found accommodation via Whatsapp Groups and Discord channels (e.g., ASU Housing, Indian Student Groups).
- Rent: $300 – $800/month (shared apartment, utilities included).
Likes
- The campus is really beautiful and there are a lot of things one can explore.
- The variety of extracurricular activities makes the life of a student studying there quite balanced.
- The staff and the professors are very supportive.
Dislikes
- The heat during the summers is very bad, Arizona has one of the highest temperatures during the summers.
- ASU caters to a huge Indian crowd which is why it might get a bit competitive in some places.
- One of the issue is extra or enough seats available for popular subjects.
- There are many online websites present that help to find the perfect accommodation that you are looking for. Some challenges that I faced were finding the right roommates. This was a big challenge for me as I did not know anyone at ASU so I had to talk to a lot of people and then finalize my roommates.

Likes
- There is always some event happening in and around the college, whether academic or non-academic.
- There are numerous restaurants and sports stadiums where basketball and football matches are free for ASU students with an ID card. Additionally, Business School students enjoy a pre-game party before matches.
- ASU's graduation ceremony is one of the largest in the West Bay.
I received admission offer from both ASU and UTD. So in order to choose my college, I connected with some of the existing students at that time from both universities on LinkedIn. I also researched about the course curriculum, placement opportunities, faculty before finalising my college. After evaluating all these aspects, I finally chose ASU which was better in terms of almost everything.
The course was a STEM-certified course, the curriculum is a hybrid of supply chain and information systems. ASU is a top school, especially in the supply chain domain and the short duration of the course suited my plans. The placement rate was pretty good. Despite the pandemic, almost all of my classmates have been able to secure employment in the US. Which itself says a lot about the credibility of the school as well as the course.
The length of the program and costs. Given I had prior experience and education for data science and analytics, I thought a quick 2 semester Master's program would be ideal.
