Course Curriculum

8

  • The syllabus is regularly updated with courses like Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and AI Ethics.

  • I got hands-on experience using Databricks, Spark MLlib, and Python libraries.

  • Typical class schedule: 2 classes/week, each 75–90 minutes.

  • Small class sizes (~30–60 students), encouraging discussions.

  • Occasional guest lectures and workshops by industry professionals.

Admission Experience

  • I applied to about 6 universities in the U.S., all for Data Science or related programs. What really made me choose Arizona State University (ASU) was the balance it offered — a strong academic curriculum, flexibility in course selection, and a supportive international student community.
My overall experience so far has been very positive.
  • My score: IELTS:7, Gre is not required for Data Science.

Faculty

8

  • Faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:60.

  • Professors are industry-experienced and research-focused.

  • Many are involved in cutting-edge work in AI, ML, and Big Data.

  • They are approachable during office hours and willing to guide on research or internships.
