- I'd say it all depends on students pro-active nature to make sure of his situations.
- I enjoyed by at ASU, AZ surroundings, University atmosphere, clubs, resources, quality of education.
- No dislikes, apart from being away from home when sickness strikes.
- Mixed bag of all, beware of FB scammer when looking out for places, rent if shared, 650-900 with utilities. You can get it under 500, but it might not be ideal for some.

- The first year was on-campus housing. There are a lot of options outside as well. Sharing rent can range between $350-650 based on the community you choose. If not, there are a lot of apartments for private rooms as well.

- The course work is good if you wanna learn new things and technologies by trying them out directly in course projects.
Dislikes
- However, with so many students, its highly competitive to get the courses you want. Also unlike other top colleges, the dedicated hiring from big tech is very limited to none here.
- So be aware if you are coming for job guarantee.
- You can get a good 2B2B around campus (20 min commute) for 1800-2000 USD. It generally includes a refrigerator, microwave, oven, induction stoves, washing machine, and dryer.

- ASU has large student population , it makes classes feel crowded sometimes, especially master's classrooms are filled with Indians.
- Tuition fee is expensive for international students unless you get a scholarship.
- Summers are very hot in Arizona, personally I didn't like them.
- I opted for off-campus accommodation. I googled the nearest apartments to the university and found a few friends on Whatsapp university groups to share the accommodation. Total monthly rent for the whole apartment, i.e., 2 bed 2 bath, is around $2000. It includes rent, water bill, Garbage etc. Electricity bill will be around $120.
- Make sure you share a room with your course batchmates; it will be easier to do assignments & prepare for the exams. there are few communities that are mostly filled with Indians, like Volta on Broadway, Agave apartments, DPV etc. My accommodation is 2 miles away from the University.

- Professors are approachable, there's really no difficulty in asking for any assistance or guidance.
- Depending on how strong you want to market yourself, there are plenty of research opportunities.
- A great deal of diversity is on this campus; I've encountered folks from many countries and cultures.
Dislikes
- Summers in Arizona are brutally hot, and walking around campus can be tough.
- Tuition and living expenses are on the higher side, so managing finances can get stressful.
- Getting RA/TA positions is pretty competitive, not everyone lands one easily.
- I relied heavily on the free accommodation and room availability posts that were shared in the student housing WhatsApp and Facebook groups. The apartment I now have space to live in costs me $700 per month, which includes net, water, and trash, but I have separate charges for electricity. In Amman, for my rent, the apartments I wanted to rent quickly were booked and the demand escalated during the peak admission seasons at ASU so I had to start looking for apartments very early to secure a really good place.
- The apartment I am staying in is about 10 to 15 minutes away from campus, which is a spot-on distance. Being an Indian myself, I know that staying close to the Tempe campus, which includes the areas of University Drive, Apache Boulevard and the apartments in and around Temple, are the most sought-after places. These places are the cheapest to stay in and are the easiest places in Tempe to find a place to stay nearer to groceries and to reach the closest Indian grocery store. For the next batch of students who are curious about off-campus housing, I would like to inform you to kindly join the WhatsApp groups at the earliest.
- Furthermore, it would also be my advice that you are flexible with who your potential future roommates could be, and importantly, you finalise the housing before coming to Tempe. I have noticed that students procrastinate a lot regarding their housing, only booking after coming to Tempe, which leads to excessive stress.

- Public universities means huge intake hence more competition and fight among the part time opportunities.
- A lot of paperwork and formalities for each and every thing.
- I live off-campus, very close to the university. A friend recommended a WhatsApp group where people post accommodation listings. I found my place through that group. The monthly rent is $350, and the facilities include access to a pool and nearby laundry rooms—that’s pretty much it.
- One of the challenges I faced was not being able to view the place in person, as I had to secure accommodation before arriving in the U.S. Fortunately, my apartment is very close to campus, and there are free shuttle buses for students, which makes commuting easy.
