- College in proximity with lots of startups and industries in the field of biomedical engineering, affordable fees. null
- Lots of research opportunities across different fields, very experienced professors to provide guidance in research fields, very active on-campus groups and activities, great location, affordable cost of attendance .
Dislikes:
- Very few on-campus opportunities to network with industry partners, lesser academic scholarship opportunities available (at least in engineering fields) as compared to other California universities, no independent PhD degree provided by SDSU .
Placement
There were no campus placements for us. All my peers got jobs by networking and interviewing with companies themselves.
Internship
I did not do a traditional company internship. Instead I found myself a international research internship opportunity in Finland.
Placement
A few campus fairs but not very helpful for international students. Opportunities available for ones willing to work hard.
Close to silicon Valley, course structure flexible and adaptable.
Placement
If you apply early there are many job opportunities but they are snatched up quickly by people wanting to work on campus. I believe pay is between 12-15 an hour. I estimate 30% of students work on campus but that's just a guess.
Internship
Yes but I have not applied and am not very familiar with this process. They have an online job board that lists the jobs you apply to online. Some jobs are for specific majors but most are general on-campus jobs
Placement
I have not looked this far into job opportunities and such just because I'm so young and I still feel like I'm early in my college career but from what I have heard is that it is good. I'm kind of worried about job opportunities since my GPA isn't so high but I'm working on it.
Internship
They do provide a variety of internships per college and the stipend obviously depends on what you are doing and for how long so, for example, my friend earned a summer internship and was actually able to get a 5000 stipend.
Placement
We are already working professionals for this masters degree. Our advisors try to work our thesis or project around creating a job opportunity for ourselves if we want to. So if you are not happy with your current position you can help create one for yourself.

I do believe there is some sort of internship but not for my major. I do not know any specifics regarding internships. We do have practicums in our second year however they are not compensated and are a requirement.
Placement
Almost everyone in CS gets placed. In US there is no oncampus concept. All you have to do is apply online and through network.
