Because of various factors first one being definitely the opportunity to get good placements. Good campus as compared to other institutions in Mumbai. 4th best college of engineering in Maharashtra. Great exposure with great minds of people living in Mumbai.

Ranks in Top 5 engineering college in Mumbai. Somaiya Vidyavihar have the best campus in Mumbai.
Since it is located in Central-suburban area, there are people from all places and are decent. Somaiya has 4 hostels within the campus for both boys and girls. (2 for each).

It was the best college for bms in Mumbai And also Its Infrastructure is Very good.all the facilities are upto date ! The professors in the college were Highly Qulaified and Very good! The college also have a lot of programs

As everyone want good campus where good placement comes so i checked the top 10 colleges where campus placement is good and accordingly i filled my admission form in those colleges and also there are Gujarati student and good campus with good quality of placement

My Course costed me around Rs.174000 approx per year. The fee structure of all the courses and years are different. The fee which we are paying is worth spending as the quality of teaching and the placements are great.

I am a delhite and I wanted to move out of delhi for my master's. I wanted to do marketing and this college was on my list as their IMC course is very famous. I gave XAT, they accepted my score. I had a GDPI session with the faculty I got a rank based on that. Admission to their various courses are via ranks you get. As per my rank I was eligible for PGDM IMC and the call letter came.

Remarks:
Campus, reputed name, good faculty, good placements. These are major factors which led to choose the college. Also being near to residence was a good part. Accredited A+ by NAAC. Somaiya is an University now, based on brilliant records as an institute.

It's very good college and somaiya has it's very good reputation and sk somaiya's campus is great their teachers are great also it has very good canteen and the washrooms are so clean and also events are also great.
