Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, also known as Durg University is a Chattisgarh-based university that offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diplomas and doctoral courses to students under multiple specializations. The specializations that have been provided by the university covers a wide range of subjects across all three streams - Arts, Science, and Commerce.

Durg University offers admission to UG, PG, diplomas, and doctoral programmes through merit list and as well as on the basis of the entrance examination. Admission to most UG courses is done on the basis of the merit list prepared by the university. This merit list or cutoff list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by students in the last qualifying examination.

Admission to PG and Ph.D Programmes is done on the basis of entrance examinations conducted by the university. Durg University offers various undergraduate programmes in multiple specializations. The eligibility criteria and selection process may vary from course to courses. Durg University UG Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the B.A programme, the candidate must have a 10+2 certificate with minimum required percentage set by the university. Students belonging to reserved category will be relaxation.
The candidate must have passed 10+2 with relevant stream or subject as required by the university.
For admission to the B.Sc programme, the candidate must have a 10+2 certificate with minimum required percentage set by the university. Students belonging to reserved category will be relaxation.
The candidate must have 10+2 with relevant stream or subject as required by the university.
For admission to the B.Com programme, the candidate must possess a 10+2 certificate with accounts and economics as mandatory subjects.
For admission to B.Ed, a candidate must have a graduation degree in the relevant subject with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
For admission to BCA, a candidate must have 10+2 certificate in Science stream with minimum percentage as required by the University.
For admission to a 1-year B.Lib.Sic course, the candidate must have a 10+2 certificate with minimum aggregate marks as required by the university.

Durg University UG Selection Process

The final selection to all UG courses except B.Ed are done on the basis of the merit list. The merit list is prepared by the university on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the last qualifying examination (10+2).
Final selection to B.Ed is done on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the university.

DURG University PG Eligibility Criteria:

For admission to the MA programme in multiple specializations, the candidate must have a graduation degree (BA) from a recognized board or university with the relevant subject and a required minimum percentage to apply for admission. The minimum required percentage is 55% (5% relaxation for reserved category students).
For admission to the M.Com, the candidate must possess a B.Com degree from a recognized board or university with a minimum 55% percentage in aggregate.
For admission to the M.Sc, the candidate must have a B.Sc degree from a recognized board or university with a minimum 55% percentage in aggregate.

I think they need to improve our canteen it's good but good bit expensive
The park is always dirty and full of chapri lovers

I chose this college because my friends and relatives graduated from here and gave it good reviews. Hemchand University was the closest option for me, and it had better facilities compared to other local colleges. Admission is straightforward; you just apply online and usually get accepted, with very few students facing rejection.

The infrastructure and campus is the thing which I like the most, it is good if we compare with other collages
The girls to boys ratio is good, in the class of 70 there are 36 boys and 34 girls

Dislikes

Faculties should be replaced first of all, they are usually young professionals with lesser experience
The faculties are not supportive if you have any problem then you have to solve into your own.

Admission:

There are two more options other than RCST one is KK Modi and the Other one is SSPU, the reason for not choosing SSPU is because there is less strenght in the course and less like minded individuals also the campus is not that good. The reason for not Choosing KK modi is because it is far from my home and only the 1 batch is passed out since today from there. So, i have little trust issue thats why I choose RCST over these two colleges

There are many students who want to study in this college. I heared it's name from some of my senior. So i decided to study in this college. I also applied for kalyan pg college durg but i preferred this college because of its infrastructure. The college provides various streams to study ans many facilities which others college does not provide. The admission process of this college is merit based. First you have to apply online admission form and then on you get selection on the basis of your marks of 12th.then you can get offline admission in college.
