Though its one of the recently developed medical college, the growth has been tremendous in every aspect including infrastructure, academic and other facilities. This can be assured by skyrocketing cutoff of NEET UG of the college.
The facilities for students are worth mentioning. The college has got got national level library with almost all medical books. The hostel rooms are also very liveable.College has got almost all sports and cultural activities done.
AIIMS NAGPUR is one main the project from cabinet so the funding to the college is good.
Dislikes
Drawbacks can be its very far from main Nagpur city around 16km(though metro service is available). The weather of Nagpur can also be problematic for some.
Less alumini network( tbh medical field don’t require it that much)
Course Curriculum Overview:
Doctors as a carrier considered to be the GOD's service. So MBBS as a course itself has dignity in the society. Also the financial aspect is considered to be secured. The course is all about practical and clinical knowledge.
Beautiful campus with OPD, IPD and emergency blocks
Magnificent library open 24×7 with cafeteria
Large football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, gym facilities
Dislikes
Sometimes the security guard forgets to record attendance of students into the hostel
Placement Experience:
After the completion of 9 semesters, students join the internship program in which they are paid Rs. 30000 per month, following which students must clear another entrance exam to the PG seats. The highest package offered varies with choice of course and is not fixed but all the candidates earn 12 times higher than the national average salary. Usually 100% placement is provided. My plan is to pursue an MD in any of the medicine and allied subjects
I choose the course because I wanted to become doctors from most prestigious college of India. I didn't get seat in AIIMS Delhi so then I choose this college as it is near my home town. The students faculty ratio is 70:12. All the faculty are passed out doctors so they are highly qualified and they teach us in such a way that no need to ask for any doubts. The university conducts exams after every 3 months and we all have to work very hard to pass the exams.
This college conducts free camps for the students. This is very beneficial to the students. MBBS doesn't offer placement. But college provides internships in the college premises. During the internship, we have great exposure to the patients. Students provided a good stipend during their internship
I got admission in this college after qualifying NEET exam. The eligibility criteria in this university are that the candidate should have at least 50% marks in class 12th and also they have cleared NEET exam.
I got admission in this college on the basis of NEET exam marks. It is a common test for getting admission for the course MBBS. Generally, the eligibility criteria in this university that you have to qualify NEET as well as you should have at least 50% marks in 10+2.
Studying MBBS in AIIMS was one of my biggest dreams. I worked really hard to get in the college and when you enter the college you will know that all your hardwork pays off. There is no better college than AIIMS to pursue MBBS
The admission process is quite tough so you need to be ready for this. To be eligible you should have cleared your class 10th and 12th with physics, biology and chemistry in major. Then you have to qualify the NEET which is conducted by NTA. Then a cut off is released and if you qualify the list you will be called for counselling and after that admission will be granted
There are a total of 13 AIIMS in-country and you can already guess how tough it is to get into any one of them. Earlier, I appeared in the AIIMS MMBS entrance exam and managed to crack it(after 2 years of hard work) and then went through the entire counseling process. But, from 2020, admission to AIIMS will also happen via NEET as they tried to combine all entrance tests for medical college into one single entrance exam.
During my time, I gave both the AIIMS entrance exam and NEET and managed to secure a rank in both. I then decided to join AIIMS as it was my dream. I went through the counseling process and got admitted into AIIMS Nagpur. But, starting this 2020, admissions will be via NEET.
