- Though its one of the recently developed medical college,the growth has been tremendous in every aspect including infrastructure,academic and other facilities.This can be assured by skyrocketing cutoff of NEET UG of the college.
- The facilities for students are worth mentioning.The college has got got national level library with almost all medical books.The hostel rooms are also very liveable.College has got almost all sports and cultural activities done.
- AIIMS NAGPUR is one main the project from cabinet so the funding to the college is good.
Dislikes
- Drawbacks can be its very far from main Nagpur city around 16km(though metro service is available).The weather of Nagpur can also be problematic for some.
- Less alumini network( tbh medical field don’t require it that much)
Course Curriculum Overview
Doctors as a carrier considered to be the GOD's service.So MBBS as a course itself has dignity in the society.Also the financial aspect is considered to be secured.The course is all about practical and clinical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
As such there is no placements in MBBS. After 4.5 yrs of course there is a compulsory internship of one year with the stipend of around 30k in AIIMS.There is internal reservation(roster system) of 20% for the MBBS students of AIIMS in PG seats.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no extra tution fee charges as required.Students itself purchase online subscription for the preparation of NEET PG.The total cost of the course of whole 5 yrs is just around 5.5k.There are various scholarships available from the government based on caste,research work and academic excellence.There need to be served an compulsory internship at the end of 4.5 yrs which offers the stipend of around 30k per month.
Campus Life
In AIIMS Nagpur every event either sports or cultural is marked with full of zeel and enthusiasm. College has got student council for which elections are conducted every year.Various clubs has been formed and led by student council members. Hallucia is the fest of the college which is held in October every year,it has sports and cultural activities and celebrity nights organised in it.The library facility includes centralised air conditioning, 24/7 availability, all the books, journals and research paper required.Students has active socail media activities.
Hostel Facilities
In first and second year you get double sharing room but from third year to final year u get single room.The facilities provided in the rooms are bed,study table cupboard,free electricity and water,private attached bathroom(with geyser).The best part is the washing machine provided on every floor.Also water cooler is available on every floor.You are also allowed to modify rooms by your choice.Hostel are well maintained by the the team of warden and mts.The security of the hostels is very strict.Hostel registration process occurs along with college admission process in warden office.If any one is not comfortable with hostels there are various apartments available nearby campus.
Admission
To take admission you need to appear for NEET UG examination and based on the marks you get admission.All the details and application form of examination is available on the website of NTA. Reservation is also available based on caste and if any disability.Every one need to take part in the counselling process after the results and based on their ranks colleges are alloted.Mainly counselling is of two rounds.After this every one need to report to the college and need to complete all required procedures including physical fitness.
Faculty
The academic section of the college is better than most of the other colleges.All the facilities are well qualified and experts at their own subjects.Some of them are the authors for the major publications.The number of facilities in each department are well enough to maintain faculty to student ratio.The clinics part may be somewhat boring in some departments. Examinations are also conducted with effective manner.Research is the part that need to be promoted more
