Course Curriculum Overview

AIIMS follows the course curriculum designed by MCI. It is properly designed and structured with semester exams every 6 months. The course duration is of 5 years( more precisely 5.5 years). We have our anatomy and other labs on a frequent basis. The daily life is quite hectic as you have to study a lot.

Placement Experience

Well, the college was established in 2018, with the first batch yet to graduate. We do have our one year compulsory internship. We have health care units where we get enough practise. With AIIMS as a brand, I don't think one need to worry about future job.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One needs to pay around 1600 INR in the first year and 1350 INR for the rest of the years. MBBS is a study where resources invested might cost in lakhs for a single individual but if you are in AIIMS or any other government college, you do not need to worry about fees.

Campus Life

We usually play sports and follow our passion. I personally play football and an artist. You will meet a bunch of best brains in the country who are quite creative and energetic. The entire student culture is just awesome with freshers party and Halloween, prom nights to various festivals, all celebrated with great joy.

Admission

During my time, I gave both the AIIMS entrance exam and NEET and managed to secure a rank in both. I then decided to join AIIMS as it was my dream. I went through the counseling process and got admitted into AIIMS Nagpur. But, starting this 2020, admissions will be via NEET.

Faculty

Faculty is top-tier. All are great doctors with great knowledge and experience. They also have a good grasp of teaching and demonstrating. I initially found them to be quite strict, but once I got familiar with them, I can feel their dedication.

The college has an overall good amount of placements and there is a dedicated training and placement cell who looks after the placements of the students. The T&P cell not only brings placement but also makes students placement ready by arranging well versed Industry training session for Aptitude test. The no of companies which come to college for recruitment are 100+ . Most of the Computer science and IT students are placed and have an average package of 6 LPA While the EXTC Dept has an average package of 3LPA and the average package for Mechanical Dept is 4.5 LPA

AIIMS Nagpur review by a 2nd year mbbs student

Yes admission occurs by NEET exam . The cutoff for AIIMS is usually higher because of its education , faculties , campus and low cost . The difficulty is way higher - u have to study for 2 years and have to get a rank under 700-800 if u are of general category for AIIMS Nagpur . And for SC students the rank is around 15000.
