D.E.S Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College is a premium law college!

Law itself is a special course and when you do it from a premiere college of Pune University, it gives you a different novelty. I had few college in site and if only I was getting admission in those, i would do LLB is what I made it clear. I think I made a right choice as I scored well and have enjoyed my 1st semester and I know rest 9 will be equally amazing too.

Law firms in Pune are plenty and that is were most of us gets the opportunity. Top law firms like Khairan and DE Shaw are also among some where students of 3rd year and above are provided an opportunity to intern with. It's less in numbers but those who does well and get the required grades consistently are given the first opportunity.

Plans after getting the degree is to build a career in corporate law. Many corporate firms like Bajaj Capital, Bajaj Auto and others come to recruit students. Placements still I feel are less compared to SLS Pune as we are compared to that and here we lose badly.

Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College is a part of elite Fergusson College of Pune University. It's under PU and fees too is just like a government college and that is 40000 a year. Scholarships for students are based on various factors and those who are available or eligible can ask about the same to the scholarship departments of our college.

Inside Fergusson Campus is where our college is located and we have our building and library. Rest all facilities of Fergusson college are accessible to us too. It's a huge campus and that too on one of the busiest streets in Pune. We have a moot court society and from second year onwards we can enroll for the same.

MHT CET is the only entrance which our college accepts. In my score I was getting DY Patil as well but Firodia is definitely much better and that was the reason I took admission as soon as my score in the entrance allowed me to.

Almost all the professors that teaches us are PHD or some who aren't are doing it while they are in their 30s. So, research work to library everything to make us understand our subjects and course is taught well by our faculties. I have just finished the 1st semester and still there's scope to meet many more of such high class. Professors.

Our college campus has most facilities mentioned here and therefore we use them too. However, if one wants private facilities then we have tol restaurants like Savera and Niranjan of whom Pohe are world famous. Chaitanya Paratha and then Sagar Arcade for tech shopping.
