My experience at NMIMS Indore

Likes

I like my faculties.They are knowledgable and well educated from top law schools like NLUs.They are friendly as well as approachable and guide you in every stage of life.
I like the infrastructure of my college.as it includes modern classrooms and advanced IT infrastructure
Its practical exposure through regular moot courts, legal aid camps and workshops from learned judges and experienced people from this field.

Dislikes

Its mandatory attendance which feels like school rather than college

Placement Experience:

Students of all semester are eligible for placement be it either internship opportunity or final placement of job.Students who opt for placement only get placements.Opt out students do not get placements.

NMIMS SOL is naturally as well as built beautifully!!

Likes

NMIMS all arms have introduced trimesters and that's the best thing as because it's trimesters we get less breaks and more studies.
From 3rd year, the college itself recommend us for Internships.
An infrastructure to die for as tall buildings with top infrastructure that has best classrooms and better than the best moot courts and seminar halls.

Dislikes

Campus is little small and strict too as we aren't allowed to go outside past 7.30 pm.

Placement Experience:

Mostly it's the corporate houses as Pitampura Industrial area is nearby and therefore law students are in demand. However, we wish that litigation firms start coming as working there is everyone's dream.

A journey of limitless turns in college.

Likes

The environment of study is good which makes a students to study hard.
The competitiveness makes student get more knowledgeable and smart to get first .
Discipline is what our college want making sure that students are well behaved .

Dislikes

Due to qualitative study they give a bit of study load which gives pressure.
Long duration of classes feels like 9-4 job sometimes.
The rule of 80% attendance due to which we have to go daily .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course outline is relatable and helps in practical learning as well though some times sone topics seems to be senseless and wasteage of time but overall helps students for the future and this happens all becaus of teaching methods which makes students to learn that subject in a better way

The pertinence of Mumbai is followed in each of its campus be it Bangalore, Hyderabad, Shirpur or Indore.
Since our colleg was started lately and only two batches have passed out the college gives more than it could to get the maximum output.
Legal writing is been emphasized at our college to a great extent as that is one of the .ajor learnings of law.

Dislikes

Since we are still new not many companies have joined hands with our college for placements.

Khaitan & Co, The Solicitors and MP High Court Law Firms as most have been hired for MP state firms only. National level law firms and corporate are yet to join hands but once it happens placement percentage which was 60 in 2024-25, will shoot to 80+ and avarage placement which were 6 lakhs will shoot to 12 lakhs a year.

Doing internships is a part of the course curriculum so even the college helps you in getting an internship while you study and it’s an integral part of your course so it also helps in improving CV without having search for the intership
Teaching methods of the faculty are practical they all use case studies and latest trends to explain things to students in their language and the class are all interactive and the faculty is also really good
Various opportunities for career advancement like from MyCaptain and other platforms like these keep showing up even TEDx event was held in the college recently and the seniors were also very helpful and frank with the first years

Dislikes

The college events except for the namotsav are all mostly bland and don’t love up to their hype cuz it’s still a fresh campus things aren’t at that grand level events still are conducted in comparison to other colleges in a small stature
There’s a lot of politics involved when it comes to choosing members for the clubs and committees if you don’t know the seniors by the time you come or already have some people you know it’s hard for you to get in unless you are an extreme extrovert
The canteen food is average and overpriced but since the college is located in such a remote area you have no choice even if there’s a sponsor that comes it’ll be overpriced too

The students are eligible to sit for placement from last semister of their course. Different and reputated companies such as Grand Thornton , Delloit etc. along with other big financial companies last year that is in 2023 highest package was 24 lakh and placement is not 100% . My plans after this degree is if I get placed then I'll have some experience in the corporate world otherwise and then side by side prepare for CAT or GMAT and if not placed I'll aim for IIM and colleges of GMAT

Nothing but truth

Infrastructure was really good and now they have a big ground as well in which all the events and sports activities take place.
Maintenance of the campus was appreciable, no littering always clean and nothing broken.
Hygienic washrooms and the college was cleaned every day twice.

Dislikes

Strict rules and regulations. It's very difficult to get 60% in exam.
No compensation for attendance and 80% attendance is mandatory for everyone
Faculty are not mentors they just come teach and go. Except a few nearly 10% of faculties are good and helpful in other aspects also.

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students get eligible for placements but the placements never happen much because nobody wants it as the average package is around 300000 and people spend around 10-12 lakhs for their degree without including hostel. 95% of people belong from business families, people either plan on joining family business or getting a master's degree from abroad or an MBA from India. Still there was a 2% placement rate last year 5 people got 300000 package out of ab batch of 189 students out of which highest package was 350000. My plan was also the same pursuing MBA after my graduation.
