Likes
- The environment of the college is very nice. The college authorities take the conductance of class very seriously and they reschedule classes if the teacher is not present in the moment.
- The college has a very captivating infrastructure.
- The celebration of festivals is amazing.
Dislikes
- The timings of the college is from 9 to 4 which is very exhausting.
- If you have to work for an event or a project which is academically beneficial, the teachers don't give attendance.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very relevant as in B.Tech it does not stick to only technical stuff it also contains biology, english, accontancy, economics, soft skills, etc. The timings of exams are quite difficult for midterms as we reach home at 5:30pm everyday and midterms are all days of the week and it leaves us barely any time to prepare as we have to leave for college at 7:30am the next day.
Internships Opportunities
The fourth year is typically reserved for internships and the college provides internships with companies like TCS, DeltaX, etc. Industry internships and industry based projects are a part of a broader curriculum which facilitate recognition and exposure to students in the form of job offers or supportive background for further research.
Placement Experience
The placements are not good so far. As of this year only two companies came out of which one was providing package of 14 LPA but it did not select any student and the other one was rejected by college itself as it was providing package of 4LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for B.Tech Ce 1st year is Rs. 202000, for 2nd year it is Rs.192000, for 3rd year it is Rs. 222000 and for fourth year it is Rs. 230000 and the bus fees is Rs. 36000 per year. The fees for B.Tech AI/DS first year is Rs. 212000, for second year is Rs. 192000, for third year is Rs. 222000 and for fourth yesr it is Rs. 230000
Campus Life
The 3 days biggest fest of college is called NMOTSAV which is held in feburary, it is a 3 day fest in which one of the days is a concert night which is organized by the cultural club "Sangam". "Technex" a 36 Hour Hackathon which is also held in feburary organized by the Technical club "Turing" it also includes gaming with games like valorant and fifa. "Invictus" a 3 day sports event which is organized by the sports club "Alphalete" includes sports like cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, Tug of war, Basketball, Pool, etc.
Admission
I applied for Medicaps University, Indore. Honestly, the infrastructure and hygiene of Nmims is way better. When I went for a campus toor at medicaps I noticed the back area where the canteen food was prepared was very unhygienic as there were worms and reptiles over the utencils also the acceptance rate of students in Nmims is way less than medicaps which leaves scope for students here to thrive.
Faculty
The faculties are very friendly and they understand the students. Obviously, there are some strict ones too but overall the faculties are very nice. Some of the best faculties include Dr. Munendra Jain, Dr. Nidhi Asthana, Dr. Abhaydeep Seth and Dr. Ankur Ratmele. The faculty I never liked was Dr. Suman Verma as she is very partial and biased in giving marks. Exams are very easy to crack as all the content that comes in exam comes from the question bank.
