We have very large basketball ground i like to play sports alot so i liked it very much
I didn't get any scholarship as of now but there may be prize rewards based on our performance and also scholarships.
Placements at our college are very good and also internship and career guidance are very good for becoming an entrepreneur like starting a start-up or so.

Dislikes

Travelling is a bit difficult, if you want to go for shopping, you need to go to nearest town ponda which is 5km away, and only college bus is avaliable for it at particular times.
doesn't have avaliability of all infrastructure like old IITs.
Hoste accomodation is good but for all four years its two sharing rooms, unlike other IITs wher you can get single room in 3rd or 4th year.

IIT GOA a place where you can find yourself

Likes

Sports, weather, faculty with very good interactions with students
Fests,technical clubs which encourages the new talent in the students
Inter IIT competition where you can plan with the other teams of different IIT's

Dislikes

The culture of goa where you cannot find people from your neighborhood

IIT Goa, though relatively new, has been making significant strides in terms of placements and employability. Students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester onwards. The institute has attracted renowned companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Amazon, Microsoft, and many more. These companies have made substantial offers to our students, with the highest package touching impressive figures, usually above 20 lakhs per annum. The average package also ranges from 7 to 10 lakhs per annum, depending on the branch and profile. Our placement percentage has consistently been above 80%, showcasing the employability of our graduates.

Likes

The classrooms and hostel of iit goa is very neat and good.
Less population in college is really a very good advantage.

Dislikes

Lacking permanent campus is a thing I didn't like the most.

we disliked the IIT GOA campus because we did not have own campus.

for the end of the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. google,amazon and 100+ companies and 1000+ offers made. Google gave 4500000 as the highest package. study hard and do work on time. be brilliant.

Brief view on IIT Goa

Likes

The weather in Goa is very nice. So living in IIT Goa is a bit easy.
Low strength of the students prompted everyone to participate in many events and sports.

Dislikes

IIT Goa doesn’t have permanent campus, which is a major problem.

Likes

Due to low strength. Chance to participate in all kinds of events.
Climate is good here. Cool in winter, not so hot in summer.
Provision of free bus transport by the college to the near by town.

I was a little interested in mathematics, and computers are in demand nowadays. Both combined mathematics and Computing was the perfect course I needed for my BTech. The faculty-student ratio is very good in IIT Goa, there is one professor for every 10 students here. For MnC we have 1 professor for every 8 students.

Short and better review of IIT Goa

Likes

Clear and silent atmosphere of IIT Goa campus,
Provides facilities of in campus bank, can easily get education loan.
Many restaurants near the campus area which provides option for student whom don't like hostel food.

Dislikes

It is away from Panjim, airports and railway station.

Placement Experience:

IIT Goa offers campus placements to its students. Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year of study, i.e., in the 7th or 8th semester. Several reputed companies visit IIT Goa for campus placements, including Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Power, etc. Higher placements offer is of 1.2cr and average placement offers are16-25 lac per annum. The percentage of students getting placed during campus placements at IIT Goa is quite high, with around 90% of students getting placed every year. The remaining students generally opt for higher studies or pursue entrepreneurship. In case no campus placement is offered, students can explore other options for employability, such as applying for jobs through job portals, professional networking sites, or by directly contacting companies. IIT Goa college review

Placement Experience:

After 5 semesters students are eligible for campus placement. the highest package on our campus is 1.2 cr and the average is 1600000, the students who are appearing in placement, all are placed because the 1st batch of BTech is passed in 2020. I think I will do a master's in the future.

I am a student of one of these new IITs- IIT Goa, which was established in 2016. IIT Goa is an Institute of National Importance, and is mentored by IIT Bombay. IITB supports the institution in every manner, be it for academics or infrastructure.

Here are some important features of IIT Goa-

Campus- The temporary campus is located in Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, Ponda. It is around 29 kms away from Panaji city. The campus covers nearly 250 acres. It is green and beautiful, especially in the rainy season. There are plenty of scenic locations in and around the campus for photography enthusiasts.

Sports Facilities- IIT Goa shares its sports facilities with GEC, which include, a cricket ground, a football ground, a badminton court, a basketball court and a gym. The members of cricket and football teams visit the grounds in nearby Ponda city.

Academic Infrastructure- The college has ample lecture halls and tutorial rooms. The library is small. It contains course related books, a few novels and some poetry books. The novels and poetry books are in English and Hindi languages.

Other Facilities- The campus houses a branch of Corporate Bank, along with its ATM. There’s a general store which offers eggs, maggie, coke, and other such small items of daily need. Ponda City is just 3-4 km away from the college campus. A doctor is available at certain hours inside the college, and a van is available 24*7 for medical emergencies. The hospital is located nearby.

The college is under constant development and improvement, both academically and infrastructurally. IIT Goa is a good college with a lot of potential. You can ask some seniors from IIT Tirupati, IIT Bhilai and IIT Dharwad about their respective colleges.
