Should I go for IIT Goa Electrical or NIT Kurukshetra CSE even though I have interest in CSE?

My uncle is a professor of Mathematics at IIT Delhi. According to him, one should prioritize the subject/ branch instead of the college while making such decisions. You have an interest in CSE, as mentioned by you. In that case, you should go for the best college that is offering you CSE. An ‘IIT’ tag is definitely worthy and IITs have their own advantages. However, it will boil down to nothing if you have no interest in your branch. But, I also wish to make it clear that NIT Kurukshetra does not offer CSE (Computer Science Engineering). Instead, it offers Computer Engineering (CE). The former revolves around Software, while the latter pays more attention to Hardware. Try to find out more about CE, and then make your final decision. If you decide that CE is a better choice for you, go for NIT Kurukshetra. Otherwise, choose the other option. You can also look for some other good colleges that offer CSE.

Normally for students, the semister fee is one lakh fifty thousand. The campus also provides scholarships for merit students. But based on their parental income they are providing remission in fees. After remission, my actual fees are around 50k.

A short description on IIT Goa

The fee structure is like a lakh per semester for tution and upto 35k per hostel per semester. Yes, here a bank is available to provide educational loans. And the fee varies as per reservation. Aspire scholarship is one of the scholarships provided here.

Yeah, there are a lot of scholarship or stipend options at IIT Goa. Third, Fourth, and Ph.D. students who select to participate as teaching assistants get 5k monthly. Placements are very good in IIT Goa, with a percentage of 98.

IIT Goa Review

Scholarship on a merit basis is available. Financial assistance/aid is also available. The college also provides hostel fee exemption to SC/ST category and the mess facility is also free. Scholarship for family income from 1 lakh to 5 lakh is also available. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course was similar to that of IIT Bombay, the the faculties are newly recruited (most of them are really respectable in their fields), the academic curriculum is also same as IIT Bombay, getting a good CG is fairly easy if you work decent enough.
