IIT Goa did not rank in the NIRFranking of 2023. However, the institute is known for its excellent infrastructure and facilities that it provides to the students. The curriculum has been designed to help students excel in their chosen field. There is a blend of theory and practical knowledge that is imparted to the students. At IIT Goa, you will get to learn how to develop new projects on your own. The faculty members are like father figures and they will push you to your full potential. Good campus environment surrounded by greenery and the campus is located in admist of hills with good sceneary
Best faculty supporting students in overall development in academics
seniors providing good guidance to juniors, good growing culture

Dislikes

doesn't have avaliability of all infrastructure like old IITs.

Internships Opportunities:

A 6 month internships are avalible for studnents in their final year of graduation. They can get PPO from the company. And also during their 2nd or 3rd year summer break students also do a 2 month internship.

Mainly i liked my friends, girl friend, Hostel atmosphere is verry nice
We have very large basketball ground i like to play sports alot so i liked it very much
We have coding club named gomyno which is my favourite i get to learn a lot from that

Dislikes

My grades arent that good so i dislike that
Our mess was so small we need bigg one as well as classrooms too
Our campus is not permanent so i wish we had permanent campus

Internships Opportunities:

Companies like amazon, Intel, Microsoft, Google visit our companies stipend depends on the individuals some might get 1 lakh where as other might get 70000 Projects like building a calculator using python was my first project, creating a own website for my self is my second project I developed alot during this

Likes

I liked the campus life where we can follow our own interests while pursuing our BTech
I liked the hostel,where we can stay comfortably.
We can participate in sports if we are interested

Dislikes

We don't have a permanent campus. I wish we had

Internships Opportunities:

There will be summer internships and long term internships.summer internshhips will be of maximum of three months. The duration of Long-term internships is of 6 months.We can do these internships in our 8th semester (applicable from BTECH batch 2021)

I like the faculty here they are very supportive
Hostel facilities are good.there are no big issues with facilities
I also liked the academics here.The contents in the courses are quite interesting

We don't have a permanent campus.I wish we had one

Summer internships:These internships will be maximum of 3 months Long-term internships: These internships last from January to June and offer valuable experience and potential job opportunities. B. Tech. students participate in these internships during their 7th semester.

Likes

What I liked here is the hostel,less crowd,peacefulness
I also liked the fact that it is a new iit and is doing its best

Dislikes

I ndisliked the campus and facilities offered

IIT GOA provides various internship oppertunities for its students through placement cell.It is provided in a wide range of colaborations with industries and companies.Alumni network also helps alot in this.

lifestyle and academics in iit goa

Likes

academics, staff and their way of teaching
sports and beaches are nearby and weather
elpp course madam is very good and helpful in the 1st year

Dislikes

food in the mess and exercise class by the faculty
weather in college is horrible, always hot and hoter and no acs

internship opportunities are well and good, both from campus and off campus as well, with many national and international companies like Microsoft, Google, Paytm, Oyo, amazon, and Accenture. the college provides good assistance in internships and placements at good positions. and also encourage startups.

IIT Goa hostel rooms are very good and medical dispansary aslo ambulance facilities likes me.
Here is several sports and tournament are held by seniors .
Here is gym for body building and swimming pool.

Dislikes

There is no permanent campus of IIT Goa.
The cricket field is so far from our hostel.
Our campus is smaller than other IITs and also library is smaller than GEC.

Internships Opportunities:

College provides compulsory internship for 6 months to everyone here which has led to better placement and it also helps in gaining experience from the market. Almost all good companies visit the campus and offer placements.

All about IIT GOA

Likes

Course here is damn good as Iit Bombay was mentor of this college and it has same syllabus as iit Bombay has
Good student:faculty ratio cause of less no of students (11:1) . No other iit having the same
One of the best placements among all 3rd gen iits and some of the 2nd gen iits

Dislikes

Zero campus life since iit goa doesn’t has its own campus
No sports participation as it just has its basketball court . For other sports we have to share with GeC
IIT goa has firewall setup. You will say each iit has but here games are also blocked . For gamers sad life 😭

Internships Opportunities:

Since I am a first-year student I don't have much information about internships offered here but as I have heard from seniors it's about 30 to 40k and if you are not interned you get an opportunity to be with Iit Goa's research team. In order to know about Iit Goa's various research projects you can visit their official website

Inside IIT GOA: A student's perspective

Internships Opportunities:

Around 90% students of B-Tech students get 6-month internships in their respective core companies and the rest 10% get internships in college itself. Top companies providing internships were Adobe, discovery, intel, codeforces, etc some students got research internships at top foreign universities.
