My college experience.

Likes

The environment of our college is decent.
Gender ratio in our college is also good .
The faculty here are very supportive and helpful.

Dislikes

There is shortage of books in the library and the books are old fashioned and not updated.
They ask for semester and hostel fees four months before hand.
Hostel and mess food is very average and sometimes it goes below that level also.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

Our degre is under IKGPTU and university's cpurse curriculum is followed. The curriculum is good enough and includes subjects that has some practical usage. For example,subjects like DSA in 3rd sem are very important from placement point of view .C,C++ in the first year and JAVA with DSA in the 5th sem are some of the important subjects.

Fee structure and scholarship

The college fees for 1st year is 66650/sem (semester fees only).The hostel fee per semester is 55000. Our college provides scholarships upto 100 percent off and minimum student gets 50 percent scholarship and they get 50 percent discount on tution fees.

Various fest, clubs and library of the campus

My overall experience with college life has been fulfilling.Annual freshers party,Tech fest in the month of september to october and many festivals are celebrated every year.Every block has a library and all curriculum books are available but they are not updated and have older versions of the books. Our college supports all the sports activities and also arrange an annual sports meet .Sports like cricket ,Football ,Badminton, Baseketball etc are also supported.Clubs in CGC jhanjeri - NSS Club ,Rangmanch-theatre club,Rockers-the dance and music club,CGC fitconnect-The fitness club ,c-click- The photography club, Mind benders-the literary club, Art masters-The fine Art club,Socialcom-The social media and digital marketing club,Fashioninsta club and GDG and GFG chapters.

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

The student to faculty ratio is approx 20:1,so there are many teachers with whom we can interact and ask doubts .It depends in the teacher if he is willing to solve your problems. Some teachers are more approachable and they are ever ready to solve all kinds of academic related doubts.There is are also teachers whose teaching style I did not like because they come in class,they dictate and go back.

Placement opportunities and exposure provided by the college

I have a friend studying in the landran campus and he also got placed with a good package in 2023 from the campus.So he helps me alot in making my decision and when i searched about this college after the recommendation i found out that the college is offering very good placements in that fees which is very economical. The college gives you good exposure and opportunites and if you have done the hard work in your 4 years journey then you can get a good campus easily.

Night Life

Boys are not allowed to roam outside the hostel after 10pm and college is located on the outskirts of the mohali which is very far from the main chandigarh city and does not have any happening place around the campus.

However its isolated location administrativerigidity

I find this collage link in instagram ads i know about this campus and i discurse to my family then 1 weak later i coming to capmus for visit and take admmision after 1 month and currently i am in cgc mohali.

1- i first started by giving HAU entrance exam but i failed. then i applied in this college . because my college has big talent in advertising and promoting themself. 2- no, but after facing failure in my HAU entrance the rejection for getting admisision in that college already achieved by me. 3- by filling admissions form and after that we get a call from our college which is our councler and tells us whole further process for confirming our seat in college they asks us for our 10 and 12 standard DMC's , aadhar card, passport size photo migration certificate too.

CGC Jhanjeri offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various schools of study, ranging from engineering, commerce, design, pharmacy, business management, law, computer applications, to journalism and mass communication.

The admission process is based on merit or entrance examinations, followed by group discussion and personal interviews, depending on the choice of the specific course.
For B.Tech admission at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, merit scores in entrance examinations, such as JEE or CGCUET, are considered.
For MBA, qualifying scores from CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/CGCUET are considered.
For other programmes, such as BBA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc, B. A LL.B., admission based on merit scored in 10+2 is considered.
Apart from this, candidates can also take the CGCUET entrance exam, conducted by CGC Jhanjeri, to gain scholarship benefits, simultaneously with admission at CGC Jhanjeri.
Applications at CGC Jhanjeri can be applied for both online and offline.

Online Mode

Visit the official website of CGC.
Click to the “Admission” tab and apply online.
Create a Login ID and fill the admission form with all the required information.
Upload requisite documents and transfer ‘Prospectus’ and ‘College Fee’ to the Institute Account via Online payment mode (Net Transfer/ Credit Card/ Debit Card).
