CGC Mohali Merit-Based Scholarships 2026
To help meritorious students pursue their higher education without any financial burden, CGC University, Mohali, offers scholarships. For the first year, the merit scholarship shall be awarded based on the percentage of marks obtained in identified subjects at the time of admission and is applicable only to the tuition fee.

CGC Mohali Punjab State Scholarship 2026
- A one-time scholarship worth Rs 5000 shall be granted to permanent residents of Punjab for all UG/PG programmes, as per statutory requirements, only for Tuition Fee Waiver cases for PTU.
- To avail of the scholarship, students will be considered eligible only if they have a valid Domicile Certificate and Income Certificate in original at the time of reporting for counselling/admission.
CGC Mohali S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji Scholarship For Girl Students 2026
A scholarship of 30% on the tuition fee is applicable for female students in the first year of UG/PG programs, subject to the following conditions:
- Students must have scored 80% and above in Class X & XII/Diploma/ Graduation aggregate.
- The scholarship percentage will remain the same for all categories of admission.
To continue availing this scholarship, students must maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and an attendance of 85% and above in every semester, without any back papers, UFM, and indiscipline cases.
CGC Mohali Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel 2026
This scholarship aims to honor the sacrifices and dedication of our brave defence and CAPF personnel by ensuring their wards receive financial assistance for their education, encouraging academic success across generations.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this financial aid, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Service Status: The applicant's parent must be a serving or retired member of the Indian Armed Forces, CAPF, or allied organizations.
- Defence Forces: Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard.
- Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF): Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guards(NSG).
- Additional Forces/ Organizations: Railway Protection Force (RPF), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Rifles, Border Road Organization, General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES), Defence Security Corps (DSC), and Ordnance Factory Board.

Scholarship for Children of Defence personnel (Serving/Retired)
A scholarship of 10% on tuition fees is applicable for the children of defence personnel in the first year of the UG/PG programs. To claim the scholarship, the student must provide a valid certificate/ document in original at the time of reporting for counseling/admission:

- A dependent's card issued to the servicemen, / A certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the servicemen.

Scholarship for children of defence personnel (Martyrs Defence Personnel /Gallantry Medals Awardees)
A scholarship of 20% on tuition fees is applicable for the children of Martyrs’ Defence personnel in the first year of the UG/PG programs.
To claim the scholarship, students will be considered eligible only if he/she provide a valid certificate/ documents in original at the time of reporting for counseling/admission:
- Dependent's card issued to the servicemen/ A certificate issued by the Unit Head/C.O. of the servicemen.
- Aadhaar card of father/mother.
- Certificate of Gallantry Medal Award.
- Aadhaar card of the student.
CGC Mohali Sports Scholarships 2026
The scholarship amount will be awarded as per the Sports Scholarship policy, which is applicable to the tuition fee only for first-year students. Students from the second year onward will be eligible for a scholarship, subject to participation in International/ National/ State /University-level sports activities, with approval from the competent authority.
Note: The scholarship will be credited in two equal installments in Odd/Even semester, as applicable, and will be verified by the Director of the Sports department.
International Level Participation
All applicants who have represented India in International competitions/ sports, including the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and World University Games (including Cricket), are eligible for the award of a scholarship under this category upon submission of a participation certificate issued by:
- Olympic Games by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
- World Championship/ World Cup by the International Sports Federations (ISF).
- Asian Games by the Olympic Council of Asia.
- Asian Championships by the International Sports Federations (ISF).
- South Asian Games (SAG) by the South Asian Sports Council (SASC).
- Commonwealth Games by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).
- Paralympic Games by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
National Level Participation
All applicants who have participated in competitions/ sports at the national level, as recognized by the Sports Authority of India, are eligible for a scholarship under this category upon submission of a participation certificate issued by the Sports Authority of India.
The scholarship is applicable for those lists of games included in the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World University Games, including cricket.
State Level Participation
All applicants who have participated in competitions/ sports at the state level, as recognized by the Sports Authority of the state, such as North Zone Inter-University Games, Senior State, Junior State, or School State Games, are eligible for a scholarship under this category upon the submission of a participation certificate issued by the Sports Authority of the state/ Sports Statutory Regulatory Bodies.
The scholarship is applicable to those games included in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and World University Games, including cricket.
CGC Mohali Financial Assistance to Siblings 2026
A scholarship of 10% on the tuition fee for the first semester is applicable for the siblings of current students/alumni, upon submission of the following documents:
- University ID card and Aadhaar card / any valid photo ID proof of the sibling bearing the name of the parent (Documentary proof of sibling relationship must be submitted).
- Copy of the degree certificate issued to the sibling by CGC University, Mohali (if applicable).
The above scholarship will only be granted if the student's sibling is currently studying or has completed their studies from CGC University, Mohali.

CGC Mohali Scholarship For Graduating Students 2026
This scholarship is for graduating students on opting for a higher programme at CGC University, Mohali. A scholarship of 10% on the tuition fee for the first semester is applicable to students graduating or graduated from CGC University Mohali and opting for a higher program at CGC University, Mohali without any gap, upon submission of the following documents:
- University ID card
- Copy of the Provisional Certificate issued in the same year / Grade Card (all semesters).
Note: To continue receiving the scholarship, the student must maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and an attendance of 85% or above in every semester, with no back papers, UFM cases, or indiscipline issues, to be verified by the Registrar.
CGC Mohali Scholarship for Children of Single Parent 2026
To continue the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 & 85% Attendance and above every SEM, without any back paper, UFM and Indiscipline case. The student is also required to submit all the requisite documents as mentioned above at serial no. (Ha/Hb/Hc).
A scholarship of 20% on the tuition fee for the first semester is applicable to the children of a single parent (whose income is less than Rs 6 lakh per annum) upon submission of any of the following documents:
- The death certificate of the father / valid proof of divorce issued by the Court of Law.
- Certificate of single parent status issued by the competent State or National Government authority.
- Students applying for this scholarship are required to submit a copy of their mother's ITR/Form 26AS/income proof issued by the competent government authority (in case of non-filing of ITR) for the last two financial years.
To continue receiving the scholarship, the student must maintain a CGPA of 7.0 and 85% attendance or above in every semester, with no back papers, UFM cases, or indiscipline issues. The student is also required to submit all the requisite documents as mentioned above at serial numbers (Ha/Hb/Hc).
CGC Mohali Scholarship for Differently-Abled Students 2026
This scholarship is applicable to undergraduate and postgraduate students, both. A scholarship of 10% on Tuition fees is applicable for the differently-abled student on submission of the following documents/conditions:
- The student has to submit the Certificate of Handicap issued by the Competent Authority at the State / National Government Hospital / Board (as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India).
- To continue the above scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 & 85% Attendance and above every year, without any back paper, UFM, and Indiscipline case.
CGC Mohali Scholarships for Orphan Children 2026
A Scholarship of 20% on Tuition fees is applicable for the Orphan student on submission of the following documents/conditions:
- Certificate from the Women Development & Child Welfare department confirming the orphan status.
- An affidavit by the applicant, duly notarized, given on stamp paper of Rs.10/-, undertaking that the applicant is an orphan/destitute.
- To continue the above scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 & 85% Attendance and above every year, without any back paper, UFM, and Indiscipline case.
CGC Mohali for the Children/Siblings of Employees 2026
The Scholarship for the children/siblings of the Employees of CGC University, Mohali, shall be as follows:
- 50% waiver in tuition fee over the applicable scholarship category of the student.
- The Scholarship shall be applicable to all the programmes offered by CGC University, Mohali.
- The Scholarship shall be applicable till the employee is serving the CGC University, Mohali, and shall be withdrawn when the employee leaves CGC University, Mohali.
- The faculty has to serve the college until their ward completes the tenure of the program. Failing this, the concerned student has to pay the full amount of the program for the complete tenure.
- The above-mentioned scholarship shall be applicable for the complete duration of the program.
CGC Mohali Scholarship for the students Admitted Under Lateral Entry Programmes 2026
This scholarship is applicable to BTech and BPharm Programmes. The scholarship shall be awarded based on the score/percentage obtained by the candidates at the time of admission and is applicable to the Tuition fee of the respective year of study.
Lateral Entry Scholarship will be one-time only.

Ques. What are the CGC University Mohali scholarship terms and conditions for 2026?
Ans. Some terms & conditions to avail CGC University Mohali scholarships are given below:
- If a student is eligible for a grant of more than one scholarship, the total amount of all scholarships in such cases cannot exceed the total Tuition fee for the Semester, final decision will be taken care of by the Scholarship Committee.
- In case any candidate falls in Category (A-Merit Based Scholarship), (B-Punjab State Domicile Scholarship), (E-Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports) & (L-Scholarship Policy for the Students appeared for CUET UG-2026-27), then the Committee may choose the higher of the four options of Scholarship in the year of admission.
- In case any Girl Student is falling either in Category (A-Merit Based Scholarship), (B-Uttarakhand/Other Himalayan States Scholarship), (E-Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports) & (L-SchoIarship Policy for the Students appeared for CUET UG-2024) and also in Category (C-S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students), in such case she will be eligible for Scholarship of Higher category (A) or (B) or (E) or (L) along with additional scholarship of Category (C-S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students). In such cases, the total amount of all such Scholarships cannot exceed the total Tuition Fee for the Semester, and the final decision on Scholarships will be done BY Committee.
- Scholarship Category (H-Scholarship for Children of Single Mothers) and (I. Scholarship for differently abled Students) will be as per the discretion of the Management based on the documents and other conditions, as applicable.
- The students who are eligible for the scholarship/s as per the norms specified by the University should address their application to the Registrar with relevant documents for consideration.
- Students who completed their schooling from the Open School/Part-Time will not be eligible for scholarships category (A-Merit Based Scholarship) & (L-Scholarship Policy for the Students appeared for CUET UG-2026-27)
- Scholarship awarded in subsequent years (if applicable) shall be credited in the Even Semester of the programme for the respective academic year.
- If at any stage, it is found that an applicant has concealed, suppressed, distorted any information/facts which would have rendered him/ her eligible for the admission and/or for benefit of fee/scholarship which has been awarded by the University basis initial documentation, then the admission and/or benefit of fee/scholarship will stand cancelled and all such financial support will be recovered by the University.
- In case of any escalation/representation/dispute/discrepancy/clarification, the decision of the Management will be final and binding.
- The Management reserves the right to change the Scholarship Policy at its discretion.
