Mahindra University, Hyderabad - Scholarship Details
MEC offers Merit Scholarships every year to deserving students:
- 48 Scholarships are equally distributed for the 4 branches, namely 12 per branch, of which 11 are based on JEE score and 1 is based on the SAT score (if no SAT person applies for a Scholarship, all would be allocated based on JEE score).
- The scholarship amount is Rs. 1,00,000 per-student-per-year.
- Top 12 rankers in each branch will be entitled to the scholarship year on year when they are promoted to the next year.
Conditions like:
(a) No backlog
(b) Non-involvement in any untoward activity in the hostel/college premises are necessary pre-requisites for eligibility.
- The Institute will also offer from 2019-20, 5 scholarships amounting to Rs.1,00,000 each to the top 5 students admitted to the B.Tech Programme - (across the branches) only if the student is from North Eastern Region on submission of valid documents. The said scholarship would be continued if and only if the student scores more than or equal to 7 CGPA without backlogs each year in the four years B.Tech Programme.
- 20 scholarships will be earmarked for Girl Students on merit basis in addition to the above scholarships. The scholarship will be continued if the Girl Student scores CGPA of 7 and above in the four years B.Tech Programme.

- Good Faculty.All Faculty will be from IIT's Or NIT's .Main course professor are phd holders from IIT's
Dislikes
- Hostel fees is like too much if we consider irrespect of mess
- No buses are provided by college for day scholars
Fees and Financial Aid:
4,50,000/- tution fees 2,00,000/- Hostel fees 20,000/- caution fee 1000/- Application fee 1,00,000/- scholarship will be given if we score top 10 percentile in semester.It will applicable for every semester .Which is heard by me from my frnds . I had awarded with 1,00,000/- in 1st semester for getting good score in jee mains .

- The campus life and the ambience of the college
Dislikes
- Food and hostel rooms and washrooms of teh college
- The difficulty of the exams and more weightage
Fees and Financial Aid:
The yearly fee is 4 lakh 70,000 which includes 2.5 lakhs tution fee and 10,000 for meal charges for a day scholar and for hosteller it is 1 lakh additional per sem which is 6.5 lakhs per year .the colleges offers internships and hackathons.

- Hostel is well designed for two people ina room with an AC
- Sports was good. We can play whenever we want we can go and play
Fees and Financial Aid:
Very great college for having fun as well as studies. More importantly a good space for playing different types of games with we'll infrastructure. Students com wfrom different colleges to have league matches in different sports games both indoor and outdoor
Likes
- Professors are well qualified and have relavent industrial experience.
- Infrastructure meets the present industry standards.
Dislikes
- Management is not sensetive to student needs.
- Far away from main city. Need to travel atleast 40 minutes.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Academic Fees - 450,00 Hostel Fees - 200,000 This is an approximate fees per year. May vary with specific program or year. Top 10% of students admitted to university are eligible for scholarship. It requires you to maintain a minimum CGPA throughout the program without any backlog. Students who achieve a position within the top 10% of their branch after the first year of study are eligible for a scholarship.

- Good atmosphere, more facilities available to students like hostel, food etc
- Sports facilities are more prominent than other universities meaning more emphasis on extra curriculars
Dislikes
- Faculty is not to par as they say on the website but some of them are really well learnt in their subject
- The water coolers in each floor don't work neither does some lift sometimes which causes problems for everyone during exams
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure is present seperately for hostel for mess and transportation fees ( if you are day scholar). Other facilities like gym, swimming pool and sports facilities are non paid and can be accessed by anyone on campus
Likes
- Experienced Faculty and Staff. Unlike most of the other undergrad colleges, Mahindra University has lecturers who are pretty well versed and experienced in their respective subjects.
- Teaching methodology is very modern and practical. The exam system in Mahindra University is more about understanding the core subject than just pen and paper.
Dislikes
- More than the exams, there are more of presentations and projects which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it makes it really hard to score in that respective subjects.
- Dont like the system of guest lectures as its hard to voice out your doubts since they change very quickly
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure is fixed, ie, 300000 per year, broken down to 2 semesters. One can get a scholarship up to 20% throught the entrance interview or your 12th grade marks. Hostel fee is around 2 Lakhs per year, 1 Lakh each semester.
Likes
- The environment in the campus is friendly, professors are middle aged who can understand the needs of the students. The good thing about this college is that it has minimal ragging as compared to other colleges. The college is comparatively awsome.
- Library has many books relating to engineering, law, business administration. One of finest as compared to other private ones
Dislikes
- Maintenance of the greenery in the campus. Previously when got admitted, it was full of trees, cool breeze, but not now.
- Constructions everywhere. They do some or the other labour works everyday which quite disturbing.
Fees and Financial Aid:
For foundational batch of Law, it was 3,00,000 for tution and 2,00,000 for hostel fee. But now they have increased it to 5,50,000. And the top six scorers in the class would get 20 percentage of the fees as scholarship. As the law course is foundational, we do not know the status of placements and job prospects. But for engineering, they do have good placements.

- Some inconvenience in some subjects where there is a case that for some subjects you'll not be provided proper tracking
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee is 4 lakh and costs around 2 lakh for a hostel. I think the hostel fee is worthwhile and we'll be getting a 1 lakh scholarship based on our performance. You'll be having clubs and other staff where you can gain more experience of other qualities for example volunteering etc.

- Food is the very tasty and quality of food is very good
- Study faculty is very friendly in nature and very supportive
Dislikes
- Acs the temperature of the classroom is very cool
- Fees course fees is high very high not affordable for every one
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fees remains same for the four years and the fees for one year is four and half lakhs and the hostel fees is two lakhs per year .hostel and ady scholar both available . Even hostel fees varies according to the room . i got the scholarship of 1 lakh in campus regarding my jee mains marks and job will be given after 4 years

- no proper guidance from the lectures .
Fees and Financial Aid:
the fee structure is quite high. the ones who secure good cgpa are eligible for the scholarship(top 100) there would be a concession in the tuition fee. there would be a hike of 50000 rs every year (tuition fee).
