What Students Say
Likes
- The environment in the campus is friendly, professors are middle aged who can understand the needs of the students. The good thing about this college is that it has minimal ragging as compared to other colleges. The college is comparatively awsome.
- Library has many books relating to engineering, law, business administration. One of finest as compared to other private ones
Dislikes
- Maintenance of the greenery in the campus. Previously when got admitted, it was full of trees, cool breeze, but not now.
- Constructions everywhere. They do some or the other labour works everyday which quite disturbing.
- The campus has least amount of refreshments, like fests etc
Course Curriculum Overview
The students have two exams per semester like the mid exams and the final exams. For BBA, tjey do have thrice in one semester and the grading will be cummulative like 25 for mids, 25 for internals and 50 will be for finals. Coming to the difficulty of the papers, they would be slightly medicore as the below average students can also score some marks out of them.
Internships Opportunities
The Law course generally does not take internships for stipends but for experience of legal education. The students can search for internships and the college will also look for internships at various law firms as well. We can work with NGOs, Law firms under seniour counsels, think tanks etc.
Placement Experience
For Law the placements eligibility would be from fifth year of the college. As of now no placementa were given for law students as they did not passed out as it has been only three since the foundational batch has started. The companies for placements of engineering is not known to me but the package of one top student was 25,00,000 previously. My plans after the law degree would be Litigation or most probably applying for banks as law officers
Fees and Financial Aid
For foundational batch of Law, it was 3,00,000 for tution and 2,00,000 for hostel fee. But now they have increased it to 5,50,000. And the top six scorers in the class would get 20 percentage of the fees as scholarship. As the law course is foundational, we do not know the status of placements and job prospects. But for engineering, they do have good placements.
Campus Life
The college conducts three events AETHER and AIRO at once and TARANG as cultural events Besides that the college conducts HULTPRIZE by one EIC club and other club events individually. The library is comparatively huge as other private universities. The classrooms are spacious and could accomodate 150 easily with AC campus and high network bandwidth. The clubs are numerous. Fashion club, environment, debate, music, EIC, sports club, sustainability club, animal welfare club, legal aid club, moot court club etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fees would be 200000 per head and equiped with AC and wifi facilities. The hostel also includes dining facities. The menu is huge and changing daily with eggs daily, non-veg twice a week. If you pay feea for hostel during admission then you will be given room in the hostel and can share it with another roomate.
Admission
Eligibility would be the candidates can wrote CLAT and the scores of the candidates would be considered. The Law branch also conducts it's own MULET (Mahindra University Law Entrance Test) for the students who would like to take admissions. The candidate should pass 12 and write JEE MAINS etc for engineering and above 85 percentage would be considered highly. The college does not provide admissions based on any reservations.
Faculty
The faculty is friendly and approachable. They do mentorship programmes to check the academic prospects. They do check every semester like the starting of one semester, in the middle of the semester and in the ending as well. This can be relying support from the faculty as well and they do recommend internships to the students based on the needs of the core subjects the students wants to study upon.
