Course Curriculum Overview

3

the course curriculum at mahindra university lacks the relevance and comprehensiveness that was initially promised , while it was marked as modern industry - oriented , actual content is often outdated and overly theoritical. curriculum does not prepare students for real word jobs , industry tools and emerging technologies are either missing or badly touched upon . Teaching methods rely too much on lectures and rote learning with limited focus on projects improvements update the curriculum with current technologies provide more flexible and relevant electives train faculty in modern teaching methods in pov of exams they are too frequent and poorly timed causing stress , they dont even have the brain how to prepare timetable for exam on top of that difficulty level is inconsistent and often not aligned with syllabus. overall curricuum needs significant restructuring to meet academic and industry standards

Internships Opportunities

3

internship opportunities at mu are avaiable , but they are not always well structured . formal internship drives are conducted by career sefvice office but are limited students are encouraged to apply off campus via linked in . For credit internships are part of academic structure in some branches TECH MAHINDRA - role , software intern - stipedned ,10000-15000 TCS iON - Data analytics - 8k to 10k Innominds - embedded systems intern - 5k-8k Tech mahindra - software intern worked on front end testing and basic automation scripts Freyer energy - iot intern collected and visualized data using grafana overal internship opportunities exist at mu but support is avg and selecrive , cse students get more opportunities than other students system could improve with stronger industry tie ups and more guidance .

Placement Experience

3

placement scenario at mu is developing but not yet at the level one would expect from an institute that markets itself as industry alligned , while there are some good opportunities , overall placement perfomance is average eligibility: student become elgible for campus placements in 7th semester aptitude training , pre placement talks usually begin in 6th semester companies visited tech mahindra , infosys , tcs , cognizant , accenture , hexaware highest package 12 - 14 LPA avg package 4-6 LPA PLACEMENT RATE ; around 65 -70 % for cse and related branches , for non cse percentage is significantly lower since placement scene isnt very strong i plan to prepare for gate or gre , explore certifications in data science or ai or possibly apply for research based ms programs

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees - 450000 Hostel -200000 Total = 650000 x 4 years 2600000 lakhs Caution deposit = 50000 Total fees = 2650000 And u get 1,00,000 for scholarship after avg of every year 2 semesters And for NRI'S 7,50,000 per sem Total 30,20,000 20,000 for caution deposit

Campus Life

4

my overall experience with campus life at mu has been decent , environment is friendly and evolving . there are student - run clubs for various interests like techinal clubs , literary and debate , social service , sports etc however club activity is bit inconsistent while some are active and organize events regularly others struggle with participation. festivals and events are well organized but they are still growing in scale and recognition compared to other universities , they can do a lot more better with the fees they take from studnets . library is well maintained , quiet and provides a decent range of textbooks , however borrowing rules are strict , research paper is limited classrooms are modern and equipped with projectors , screens and air conditioning wi fi is available , power backups are in place . campus has basic sports facilities including cricket ground, basketball court , gym sport events are organized mu has a student portal for academics but not user friendly lacks social integration Overall campus life at mu was peacefull as we all have that paglu friends who made it more interesting .

Hostel Facilities

3

hostel facilty is decent providing basic necessities for student life. rooms are twin sharing or single each student provided with bed and mattress , study table and chair , cupboard , rooms are moderately spacious , wifi is available . mess food is good but can be bit better as the fees paid is little high for mess the food should be appropriate to fees paid non veg served on wednesday and sunday separate counter for jains hostel allotment done after admission confirmation , allocation is mostly random based overal affordable compared to private pgs. hostel facility at mu is functional , safe

Admission

i got admission offers from vit , shiv nadar but i chose mahindra on following initial expectations promised interdisciplinary curriculum with research force industry tie ups and global colloborations new age infrastructure assurance of strong placement support i didnt get top tier govt institutions like nits or iits because of the cutoff was high for my caste , over reliance on board marks rather than practise exams admission process eligibilty : completion of 10+2 with MPC accepted exams jee , sat , mu-sat cut off not publicly declared but a jee main score of 70-90 admission experience application was smooth and offline counselling was short and digital merit based selection but relatively less competitive no group discussions or interviews required

Faculty

Mahindra University in Hyderabad is recognized for its commitment to providing quality education through a well-structured curriculum and a dedicated faculty team. Here's an overview based on available information: Faculty-to-Student Ratio and Faculty Approachability The university maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1, ensuring personalized attention for each student. MAHINDRA UNIVERSITY Students have noted that the faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, contributing to a positive learning environment Course Structure, Exam Systems, and Marking Schemes The examination system typically includes two mid-term exams and an end-term examination for theory courses. Continuous assessments such as assignments, quizzes, and presentations constitute 40-50% of the total marks, while end-semester exams account for 50-60%. Mahipal Jetta , avinash arun chauhan , prafulla were best and nice faculties, they used to clear doubt whenever u mail them also they had given extra materials for us to read for placements . Om praksh sir was also the best he used to not scold when we used to not listen the class he would come to us and said to focus on certain topics so his course would be useful for us in the placement time! Murtaza bohra , sowmini devi are the worst faculties you would ever want they don't teach on top of that they scold you unnecessarily they used to read the ppt slides as it is in the slides and we wouldn't understand a single word they say . They are the worst faculty you ever want ! Subjects depend semesterwise , there would be 6-7 subjects and 2 mid exams which would happen 2 exams a day for mid for which we wouldn't have the time to read and for major we would have no preparation day there would be a exam a day and before 1 week of major there would be labs . Students fail to clear the exam depends on the subject and the faculty . Most of them would clear the subject with labs and assignments which were given .

Night Life

3

nightlife at mu is peaceful primarily due to its remote location on outskirts of hyderabad . its more of a relaxed campus than a buzzing late night social hub campus and hostel timings campus entry or exit restricted at night hostel in time usually by 11.30 pm for all students after that permissio to needed security is strict hangout spots football ground , conventional hall , library , - inside the university outisde the university - kompally , suchitra circle , amb mall stepping out late at night is not very common due to transport limitations and safety concerns after 10 pm campus itself is safe and well guarded with 24x7 security nightlife at mu is limited but comfortable , offering peaceful environment
