Ans. Yes you can try to change your course, but it is not always possible. The college allows a course change only if seats are free in that course. You need to ask permission from the principal or the department. It depends on rules and availability; not every student can get it.

Ans. In the RGUKT hostel, meals are provided in the college mess. You don't need to cook food by yourself. Meals have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with good nutrition. Mess charges are included in your hostel fees. Students can eat healthy food every day without buying outside.

Ques. Can my parents visit me in the hostel anytime?

Ans. Parents can visit student in hostel but only in fixed visiting hours. They cannot stay overnight in hostel rooms. College have rules for safety and privacy. Parents must follow rules and timing. Visiting on holiday or weekends may allowed if approved by hostel authorities.

My Honest Review of my university.

Likes

As you got admission in my college, your age will be 15 or 16. But you will live with graduating seniors at hostels. Then your idealogy will reach sky limits if you use your seniors in a right way. This is the topmost thing I like.
The relations like friends,sisters,brothers etc. will be created because the course is 6-year integrated B.Tech. You can make pure relations with 6 year people.
Of course, the faculty is excellent if you know how to use them. You will reach sky limits in subject knowledge if use the faculty in a right way.

Dislikes

The outings or leaves in first two years is difficult.
The decisions will be made by the university beacuse it is autonomous. It can take decision on its own. Sometimes, it changes it decision before a day. It will be somewhat difficult to manage but we can. No problem.
The grading system is very difficult. Of course, it will create the competition between students. But it is difficult. The grading system is relative grading i.e the last 5% will be considered as fail even if they got 100/100. There is no pass mark.

Various companies recruiting from the campus and highest package being offered

The student is eligible for placements at 3rd year of B.Tech i.e. 5th semester. But if get any oppurtunity before third year of B.Tech, You can take permission for HOD to avail the oppurtunity. Wipro,TCS,Analog Devices,Vedantu,BHEL and uncountable start-up's will visit for the placements. Highest Package is 27LPA and the average package is 5-6LPA. NOTE: For highest package, you need to a lot of hardwork as well as smart work. 80-90% of students are getting placed. Even if you are graduated, you will get the placements If available. Doing the job where I am placed or go for Masters.

Campus internship opportunities in various companies and stipend

Wipro, TCS, Analog Devices, Synopsis, Effotronics, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Madras etc... most popular world-class companies and startups will offer the internships.The roles will be like software developer,Project assistance,Project intern etc...based upon the company. The stiphend will be like 15000-40000. Projects and industry level experience will be obtained from the internships.The outcomes from the companies can be used for the tasks like Major project for your B.Tech and gaining more package from other comapnies based upon the experience.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The course curriculum is almost completely free with 6 year integrated B.Tech with best resources, influenced me to opt this course curriculum. The course will be having a vast number of practicals of what you learnt theoretical. At the last two years of B.Tech, you will be getting the internships where you can get the practical implementation. The exams will be like three small tests along the semester, three Mid exams and finals semester.

Yearly fees structure of the course and scholarship

The year wise fee is 50000. Tution Fee i.e., 50000 will be provided to us by scholarship. Additionally we get 10000 for our uses like hostel fee,expenditures etc. The fee of my batchmates varies based upon their caste. There is no exact calculation but total tution fee will not be credited as scholarship,they have to pay the remaining money which is not credited as scholarship out of 50000. The merit cum need students have to pay total fee with thir own money. When I join in 2018, the fee is 35000 only. But in 2022, the fee is 50000. Present, the fee is 50000.The fee will inrese or decrease as per the government.

Various events, sports and infrastructure of the campus

The names of the annual and technical festivals are TECKZITE,CIGNUS. They will held in Febuary,March months. The books and journals available in library and you can access any book for any period of time. You have return the books you have taken after reading it or after completion of course otherwise you will get fine. There will be 8 fans, 5 lights,AC,Projector,Uplevel desks,rounding chairs and wifi connection for every classroom. All sports are appreciated in the college like cricket,batminton,shuttle,football,volleyball,kabbadi,etc.. Whatever you want, you can play and there are many national level oppurtunities where you can participate by representing your college. College provides the prestigious programs like NCC,NSS etc. You have student-run social clubs like helping hands etc..

What are facilities available in the college hostel?

Two fans, four lights, beds, pillows, bedsheets, cuboards and good ventilation for every room. Meal quantity and menu is good I will say. The food wherever you go, You have adjust somedays. It is common. The food is good in the college and somedays it will be not, at that time you can visit the foodcourt. The Hostel is provided once you got admission in the college for free. I never rented a room or PG. Beacuse I got free hostel along with admission. And I get 10000 scholarship for my expenses other than 50000.

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

The faculty is very friendly with students. We can reach out the faculty easily after the class. The faculty I like is Irfan sir, Suresh sir. Some faculty is boring like they focus on useless things, but no need to worry. These type of faculties will come for credit-less subjects which you choose in electives. Exams are moderate and sometimes very tough. Even though, there are some easy and moderate questions along with tough questions. 20%-30% will fail in exams when the exam paper is tough. The course cirriculum is the best as it creates competition between students.

What is the admission process of the college?

I have applied for two colleges. The other college is which I did not join is having only two years of intermediate,full fee and no way after the intermediate. But the college which I opt will give me the 6-year integrated B.Tech will almost free of cost along with the best courses,best faculty and the best resources. No.I didn't get any rejections from other colleges. The admission process will be based upon the marks/CGPA will get in your 10th standard. The most important thing is you have to study in Government school. Then only you will get admission. If you get full marks/CGPA in private school, You are not eligible. In worst case when the 10th exams didn't take palce like in COVID situations, the university will it's own conduct exam for taking admissions and again the preference is for the students who studied in Government school.

The campus is green with decent classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi in academic blocks.Also we have Wi-Fi in hostels also. Then we have a gym, a big playground, also a big library with all the books.
We have a hospital and also a bank inside the campus for our needs.
We have a good administration and management. They always try to solve the problems quickly.

Admission:

RGUKT was the best fit for me 100%free education Residential campus with decent infrastructure, library and labs. Good foundation for higher studies or placements with enough time to prepare.

After 10th that was corona time and I wrote IIIT entrance test. Iam selected and attended for counseling. IIIT 6 yr integrated course includes puc( pre university course) and BTech by total 6 years. That will benifit to family to study with scholarship

Besides amenities we have enough greenery at the campus as green revolution is adopted by our college.
Even though the university is over crowded the crowd management of the university is such that many cities can adopt it as a learning.
Campus is wide and long and it has some of the best infrastructure possibly a university can have.

Dislikes

There were not enough water collers during our time as I felt each floor should have water coolers.

Some private universities in AP is where I got confirmation as I was sure that I am not leaving my state for sure. So, Krishna district was little far but still because the university was good I decided to study here as admissions were based on merit and there's nothing more that we had to do at all.

College is too far from mail city as the nearest railway station too is 20+ kms from our college campus.

Look it was based on 10th merit as here it is diploma plus engineering and that too in four years time so, 10th score is all that matters here. Hence, the admission therefore becomes quite easy but it ain't just about the admissions but the interview and counselling after that which was little subdued i would say.

Admission:

I got a free admission seat in this college after my 10th. Based on marks and government schools, they will choose the people. Above 9.5 CGPA people they choose and it may vary in the sporta, NCC, Handicapped quotas.

I got seat in this college by getting High marks in class 10th I though this one of the best engeneering colleges in Andhra Pradesh but after I joined this college I knww the reality that once upon a time it's placement was good and curriculum was also good but now it is fully over datted because of my poor financial conditions otherwise I will go with other good colleges in India

Can RGUKT Nuzvid students crack the CAT?

As the institute is below average, but there have been students from RGUKT who have cracked the CAT exam in the past. CAT is considered one of the grinding MBA entrances. There were around 75 alumni who sailed through CAT. Most of them had percentiles that were above 98 and got admission in top B-schools like IIM A, B, C, K, and more.

You can prepare for the CAT from the last year of your engineering degree. You need to understand the syllabus and practice solving the past papers. Many academies, like Kish Academy, conduct seminars about CAT. They give insights about how to prepare and what it takes to clear the exam.

For the dream institute, IIM A, you need to score 99.9+ to get a call as an engineer. Even after receiving the call for an interview, you should ace the interview round.

If you are prepared and well-practiced, you will be able to score excellent percentile. You do not have to fear the institute from where you completed your graduation.

Based on the RGUKT IIIT Andhra Pradesh cutoff data for 2024, a score of 570 marks may not meet the eligibility criteria for admission to IIIT Nuzvid under the OBC (BC) category. RGUKT offers the Polytechnic plus Btech course. University admits candidates to its B.Tech program on the basis of merit in 10th standard and counseling conducted by the university. However, admissions to other programs are based on RGUKT CET or any accepted entrance exams.

PG admission process have started as APSCHE has announced the exam dates for AP PGECET 2023. The AP PGECET 2023 will be conducted from May 28 to 30, 2023, to offer admission to postgraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses. The registration process will tentatively begin in April 2023. The admissions for UG courses will also begin soon. Check the official site to be updated.
