A tale of RGUKT...

The best thing about rgukt is it's course curriculum is totally different from other colleges , they included all the core subjects in first 2 years of btech only which give a good amount of time for the students to prepare for gate and other exams. And so many lab practicals also included in the curriculum which gives students alot of practical experience. For every month exams are conducted which only concentrates on the practical knowledge of students.

Long term and short term internships both were provided , As i said earlier Intel, Qualcomm, Infosys some more companies provide internships for the students. In third years itself students start working on their projects under the guidance of faculty allotted to them and those projects were very helpful for students to get internships or placement in companies.

From btech 3rd year student become eligible for the campus placements . Around 10 to 15 companies visit our college they are Bell, Intel ,Qualcomm, synopsis, and Infosys many more . They offer packages from 3lpa to 12-13 lpa . Around 60-70% students get placed every year. I am planning to crack gate exam and want to do my Mtech in any of the best IIT'S in India.

Fee structure is very simple , as we got free seat all the fee will be paid by government itself for academics it is 50,000 and for mess it is 10,000 per year. But children of government officials has to pay the money by their own college will not provide any scholarships for them.

Every year around 3 to 4 fests were conducted , one of them is teckzite which was held in April month , and remaining are sygnus and ejubliant. There is a central libray which provide number of books for students to enhance their knowledge. SDCAC , SM , E-Crush are the student clubs which conduct all type of events in the campus.

Hostel facilities are just average, they need to improve lot of things . Sanitary and food are the main reasons for the average talk of Hostel facilities. Rooms are little bit small and they provide two cots and two racks for two students a room.

The eligibility criteria is very simple , candidates are selected purely based on their ssc score. Government school students are the first priority. And there is 33% reservation for girls apart from caste reservations. I think it's better if there is no reservations kind of thing as the uppers students have to get 599 out of 600 to get placed in the college.

Faculty are selected based on their qualification , at least they must have btech degrees. There are around 150-170 Faculty members for 60000 students , which is an appreciative thing . Faculty here are very friendly and always helps students in their academics or personal life , this is the best thing here in rgukt we can communicate with Faculty to solve our issues and they are also interested to guide us.
