IIM Sirmaur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement is Umeralla Placement for both the batches core and TM batches. The average placement of last year was 15 lakh for core and 12 lakh for the TM batch and there is including of both international and national placements. this year i saw many good companies come for a placement like ,ICICI, HDFC, Air India, Indigo, Deliote, KPMG and the last year highest package is 62 lakh (TOLARAM)

Placement is given to 100% of the students although some students do look for lateral placemnet and some opting out for opening thier own venture. Internship opportunities are also given to everyone in 1st year

Curriculum is mostly case based with cases from Harvard , Ivey, Insead and other prominent business schools. Majority of faculties are PHDs from IITs and IIMs and are amazing in terms of level of knowledge they have and able to impart it to students while some of them are not that much good in terms of delivery and engagement in class. Curriculum of MBA Tourism has changed with all MBA core courses taught in first year and second year is dedicated to tourism subjects. There is occassional industrial visit for us to get real world exposure. Exams are in this way - Mid term and then End term with quizzes and presentation in between.

I chose the course because it aligns with my short term and long term goals. The course covers the basics needed to run a business or to be a business manager. The curriculum is designed by some of the brightest minds in the country and focuses on what are the demands in today's rapidly changing scenario. The case based pedagogy tries to bring out the best in ourselves and stimulate peer to peer learning. When it comes to evaluation, there is a mid-term exam and an end-term exam in each of the three terms in a year. Apart from these, there are multiple quizzes which are conducted from time to time. Also, the class participation of the students and evaluated along with other projects and presentations for each course and subject.

Placement is rare god in our college and no students are forced to apply for companies they don't like there are many opportunities available for all domains and the placement heads all the placement processes.

Students from 1st semester get eligible for summer internship and from 4th semesters get eligible for final placements. Companies such as EY, Accenture, ICICI, HDFC ,Tech Mahindra, etc came here with very good offers in finance, marketing , HR, operations giving average package 1300000 and highest package of 3300000. 100% students got placements every year.

SIP from.the 1st term and for finals it happens from 4th term. Companies visited include Jio, De Shaw, etc. no of offers made exceeded 300+. Average is 15 lakhs and highest so far is 26 lakhs PA. Almost all the students are placed. Going into marketing field is my plan.

There is a Placement cell in a college that will ensure that every student gets a placement and gets their preferred roles. in this recent year around 70 companies visited for placement and more than 200 students got placed last year the highest international placement was 66 lakh and the national placement was 34 lakh. my plan is that in a second year I used my knowledge to gets better placements

The placement of our college is pretty decent. Our institute offers 100% placements and also we do have good brands coming in to our college. It has been only few years of IIM Sirmaur's establishment then also it is in the pace with other B schools and we hope to be leading several more B schools in the upcoming years. The overall placements and learning from the instutite is very good.
