How good is Royal Global University Guwahati?

Students and alumni report that RGU Guwahati is below average. Royal global university is the worst university one could ever imagine, as per alumni. Students are mesmerised by its infrastructure. It is actually beautiful and well maintained. However, they will give you a 3 day orientation in which whatever they will tell you is all a bluff. Classes are conducted from 9 to 5 but after the lunch break, there will be no proper class and still you have to sit all day. This university will torture you mentally and will certainly make you depressed. They dont care about your problems at all. Not all the teachers or administration are bad but some of them are very mean. Even if you tell them your problems, they dont care about the students. During Covid-19, this university wanted to conduct an exam. Students were not against online examinations but absurd instructions like keeping their camera on and each question will be uploaded after 15 mins, during a one hour exam. Students were given plentiful assignments and were asked to appear for exams, for which they had no time to appear. Students and alumni advise against joining the university because they only want your money, with no quality education in return.

How is Royal Global University (RGU), Assam for doing an MBA and how are the placements?

Alumni say it is absolutely worthless! Youll waste your 2 years of life here. If you still want to try for an MBA, give CAT or XAT for better colleges. It will be tough but at the end of 34 years youll have a good career. Doing MBA from these tier 45 colleges doesnt make sense. Youll get a package of INR 2 INR 3 lakhs, working as sales reps in below-average companies.

Which one is better for a B.Tech, Kaziranga University or Royal Global University?

Alumni report that Kaziranga University is a better University for doing BTech, compared to Royal Global University. At Kaziranga University, the students are shaped in such a way that they become leaders in their field. If they compete with the other students of other universities, it shall always be a healthy competition. The students are allowed to participate in the various clubs of the university where they can pursue their hobbies. Taking part in the extracurricular activities makes the students active and makes them stress-free in pursuing challenging careers such as BTech. I think these facilities are hardly seen in universities such as RGU. The BTech course of Kaziranga University is one of a kind because it is aimed at changing the demographics of the Northeastern region through applied technical education and research, creating bright engineers and entrepreneurs, and developing world-class professionals and citizens of the world.

The RGU "Where dream grows"

Likes

The classroom are also very clean and hygenic.
The teachers and faculties are also very supportive
The placement facilities is good with better package

Dislikes

There's alot of air pollution due to the bikes and cars

The course is also easy to learn and the faculities also make us understand very nicely. The course which I am studying is Psychology which helps us to see mental health problems and it can help others to use other techniques to make person mentally better if a person is not.

Royal Global University: A Student's Insight

Likes

The college has a beautiful infrastructure which gives the students the opportunity to feel enthusiastic about attending the classes. Apart from the classrooms, for example a dance studio, a couple of seminar halls etc.
The college provides a mandatory course for every major called Communicative English, which teaches the importance business etiquettes and communication techniques in professional settings. The course can make student ready for the corporate life.
The college encourages the students to excel in their field by providing various awards like the Dean's lister award, semester topper scholarship etc.

Dislikes

The attendance system a bit more stricter than the other universities in Guwahati city. The strict attendance rule often creates a hindrance for the students who work hard even outside the university.
The university has a portal through which all the activities like paying of the tuition fee, applying for a certificate, or getting the gradesheets are done. But the site often glitches which can create issues for some.
The library doesn't have enough collection of books

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that I'm pursuing has a very good curriculum. All the fields of psychology have been covered throughout the three years of this degree. Starting from abnormal psychology to industrial psychology the students can get an insight of every field of psychology and hence choose the best one out of them. There are practicals that help the students know more about various tests. There is a dissertation to be submitted even by the bachelor's students and hence it can make them aware of the research procedures which can be very beneficial in the future. The psychology department has also started a mandatory internship programme for the bachelor's students which will help them to experience the work culture.

I took a liking to there well facilities that is the students are given the basic requirements which can be found inside the campus
The classes are very interactive and easy to understand.
Well maintained decipline and the environment is also nice.

Dislikes

As of speaking of dislike it would be it's time schedule.
Though the students have good environment the classes are very long as compared to other universities.
It can be very tiresome to wait for the classes to end and the class time schedule is very improvised..

In my case the teacher does not only focuses on the theory part but also provides the students with real life example and influence the students for making better decisions.Since it is a course which is based many on our day to day love it is easier to comprehend with different examples. For the practical part the students are brought to the practical places like legislative assembly for seeing how the government function and the processes done , which gives students and idea of what they are learning and what they ought to learn in the near future...

Royal: A step into a Royal World

Likes

The faculty is very good which provides person attention to every student. They are very supportive in every terms and very helpful in any was needed.
The extra curricular activities are very good in the college. It provides a variety of exposure in every field like sports, music, dance, drama etc
The food is very good in the college campus. The canteen facility is good where quality food is served with affordable price.

Dislikes

The attendance sometimes becomes a burden as the college is very strict in terms of attendance and classes.
The extra classes sometimes feels like a burden. If the teacher has to cancel his class due to some problem then he adjusts it by taking extra classes which is good but sometimes feels like a burden.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester the students become eligible for placements. There are a number of pharmaceutical, industrial and also educational companies come for placements. The package for Bachelors students is a bit less but for Masters and PhD students, it is very satisfactory. One of our seniors got placed in Academor, a leading coaching institute. I personally plan to get a master's degree after completing my graduation.

I liked the cafeteria and the infrastructure of my university, something that is better then other universities in my opinion, and i also like that fact that university is kept very clean all the time.

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that they are really strict regarding dress code an all.

Students become eligible for placements at 3rd semester and there are some good companies like ambuja cement and wipro etc giving placements for my course the percentage of students getting placement in quite high compared to other universities.

Reality of North East India no. 1 University Royal global University

Likes

RGU have the best Campus in North East India with best infrastructure
There is a lot of courses available for the students
They organise events and concerts regularly

Dislikes

The fees is very High everyone cannot effort it
Teachers puts lot of pressure on students
If subject teach in the college is useless

6th semester students are eligible for placement Vipro, Berger, lenscart, top cement etc A b.com students gets a package around 300000 and the highest is 600000 and MBA students gets 8 lakh to 12 lakh package Around 30 percent students get placement I will do MBA and then I will start my own business

the rgu compus is very much beautiful and the compus life is very good
mostly student choose this course to learn the bussinesss insdustries and the facultiies are very good and they way the teach we can understand

RGU fees is to high middle class student will not able to take addmission this
and the placement sallry package is not so high its medium

Regarding placement around 90%of students of placed in the highest salary package is rs 60000 per annum and the average and the lowest salary package is rs 25.000 per annum and the average salary package is 40000 per annum around 80% of students got an internship and the top recruiting companies are byjus, cognizant, etc.
