Royal Global University: A Student's Insight

The course that I'm pursuing has a very good curriculum. All the fields of psychology have been covered throughout the three years of this degree. Starting from abnormal psychology to industrial psychology the students can get an insight of every field of psychology and hence choose the best one out of them. There are practicals that help the students know more about various tests. There is a dissertation to be submitted even by the bachelor's students and hence it can make them aware of the research procedures which can be very beneficial in the future. The psychology department has also started a mandatory internship programme for the bachelor's students which will help them to experience the work culture.

The fee structure for different departments is different. Some courses cost around Rs. 34,500 per semester while some can cost around Rs. 80,000 per semester. The hostel fees may range from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per semester. There is a scholarship of Rs. 18,000 provided to the semester toppers. There are various other scholarships based on different criteria, which also includes a scholarship based on excellent result in the 12th exam.

The campus life has been very enjoyable. With the beautiful infrastructure, no one gets bored. There are a couple of breaks in between classes which makes the classes a bit less stressful. There are concerts organised every couple of months. The ones who like concerts definitely enjoy to their fullest. There are several clubs and societies to choose from so a student can showcase and improve their talent. The classrooms have projectors so the learning gets a lot more interesting.

The hostels are pretty good. The cleaning ladies clean the hostel everyday. The food is hygenic and there are varieties in the menu. There are ACs in every room so the summers are not hard. There are gyms in both the boys' and girls' hostels. The hostel students are also given the opportunity to attend swimming classes. The hostels are a bit expensive due to all the facilities provided. The price can range from around Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. There are also affordable PGs near the campus for the ones who do not prefer staying at a hostel.

The admission process was very smooth. The procedures can be easily done online and hence there was no hindrance. There was an interview taken after the application process. However, there was one thing which I didn't like. The admission continued up until the mid sems started. It can create problems for the newly admitted students.

Most of the faculty members are well spoken although there are a few exceptions. Most of them are very enthusiastic about helping the students. It is easy to interact with them. The faculty -to-student ratio is also satisfactory. There are enough teachers for the students of every department. The faculty members always try to increase the students' engagement in the class by assigning group projects, presentations etc. This can help the students improve their communication skills, and they can gain confidence.
