How good is Royal Global University Guwahati?

Students and alumni report that RGU Guwahati is below average. Royal global university is the worst university one could ever imagine, as per alumni. Students are mesmerised by its infrastructure. It is actually beautiful and well maintained. However, they will give you a 3 day orientation in which whatever they will tell you is all a bluff. Classes are conducted from 9 to 5 but after the lunch break, there will be no proper class and still you have to sit all day. This university will torture you mentally and will certainly make you depressed. They dont care about your problems at all. Not all the teachers or administration are bad but some of them are very mean. Even if you tell them your problems, they dont care about the students. During Covid-19, this university wanted to conduct an exam. Students were not against online examinations but absurd instructions like keeping their camera on and each question will be uploaded after 15 mins, during a one hour exam. Students were given plentiful assignments and were asked to appear for exams, for which they had no time to appear. Students and alumni advise against joining the university because they only want your money, with no quality education in return.

How is Royal Global University (RGU), Assam for doing an MBA and how are the placements?

Alumni say it is absolutely worthless! Youll waste your 2 years of life here. If you still want to try for an MBA, give CAT or XAT for better colleges. It will be tough but at the end of 34 years youll have a good career. Doing MBA from these tier 45 colleges doesnt make sense. Youll get a package of INR 2 INR 3 lakhs, working as sales reps in below-average companies.

Which one is better for a B.Tech, Kaziranga University or Royal Global University?

Alumni report that Kaziranga University is a better University for doing BTech, compared to Royal Global University. At Kaziranga University, the students are shaped in such a way that they become leaders in their field. If they compete with the other students of other universities, it shall always be a healthy competition. The students are allowed to participate in the various clubs of the university where they can pursue their hobbies. Taking part in the extracurricular activities makes the students active and makes them stress-free in pursuing challenging careers such as BTech. I think these facilities are hardly seen in universities such as RGU. The BTech course of Kaziranga University is one of a kind because it is aimed at changing the demographics of the Northeastern region through applied technical education and research, creating bright engineers and entrepreneurs, and developing world-class professionals and citizens of the world.

Likes

I liked the infrastructure,the compound is beautiful and clean, spreading across 27 acres
The teaching faculties are experienced and good
They provide all the facilities we need within the campus

Dislikes

I didn’t like the fact that we have to sit in the university from 9AM till 5PM
Exam starts right after holiday breaks and we can’t even go to our hometown to celebrate festivals since we need to study for the exam
There are some additional subjects like IKS and BHS which is pretty useless and even the teaching faculties for that subject don’t reach nicely

The Great College Royal Global University

Likes

The teachings of the teachers.They are pretty impressive
There are more than 10 canteens around the college in every floors.
There are ac s in every classrooms ehich is comfortable in summer.

Dislikes

They are very strict in attendance so u cannot miss a single class
Some facultys are very rude to the students
Female teachers are very strict but not all.

Improvemets are necessary in the course curriculum and teaching methods in tge real life world in order to teach the studemts more.about the outside world.The frequency and timing of exams is maximum 3hours along with my perspective.

Likes

Good infrastructure. There are variety of stalls inside the campus like food stalls and stationery.
A lot of different activities and competitions are put forward by the different clubs or departments of the university
Teaching methods vary from one professor to another. Some are good, some are excellent.

Dislikes

Some foods and drinks which are sold inside the campus are overpriced.
Non functioning of the lift in some floors of the block or taking too much time.
Delay in fixing the ac in a few classrooms

My decision of choosing this course was based on personal reasons majorly. Rather than that, I find this course really interesting. The syllabus till now have been all related with what we studied in high school and addition of further knowledge which will help us in our further studies.

The campus, it's really good and well planned so that it doesn't feel neither cramped nor too empty
The location is near the highway which makes travelling and reaching on time a lot easier
The activities, the concerts the DJ nights and the fest overall feel exciting

Dislikes

Nothing I love my college and it's really good
Nothing else I love it and will always do

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are mostly done during the 3 semester of masters. Most of our seniors hav gotten good placements including in Allen ayur medicos or Nestle it's upto our own ability for the placements we get

Infrastructure, faculty, peace, Royal vibe
Every classroom have AC. Clean and hygiene campus.

Network connectivity, Hostel fee, some students are rude

From complete the all semester students are become eligible for campus placement . Companies mainly sunpharma, google, meta and many more are offering to the students. Mainly required 75% for placement. My plans are I want to took BFD after my degree.

My perspective on my college

Likes

The classroom in nice. There is AC, light, projector suitable for students during summer
college campus have lots of shops and stationery essentials for students. The canteens at campus have lots of different variety of foods and drinks where you can get for suitable price.
The teaching staffs and faculty members are nice, well educated and friendly.

It was a good overall experience being in RGU for 5 long years!

Likes

The faculty of Royal school of Architecture are very cooperative and friendly
Student reviews are taken into consideration by the university
Importance is giving to each and every student in class

Dislikes

Extra expenditures of Architecture is really high then expected

The curriculum is running a little back from the field work right now. But the traditional methods are well covered and taught. Practical applications are taught on site visits and case study visits. Studio exams (juries) prepare us for the presentations we'll deliver to our clients.

Likes

Events happens around the year like dj night, concert nights, celebration of festival etc
The environment isn't bad, especially the stores around the campus as students we get to enjoy
The students most are friendly and nice and are normally good people

Dislikes

The university is very strict about attendance
The privileged atmosphere where students are very privilege i mean like no sense of hard work
The teachers are really bad only on some department but they act like that just so they can

The improvement I suggest are some leniency on attendance and the teacher explain like its their hobby not their chore Also some improvement of their english as not all students don't speak the native language

Likes

The ambience is good for studying and the campus life is also good
This college infrastructure is also very pretty
Even the learning facilities is satisfactory and deoends upon the department wise

Dislikes

The campus is abit small compared to some to other universities
The course curriculum is also somewhat satisfactory
The aspects i want of the college to improve is the conduction of concerts before exams
