Ques. Is there any entrance exam or portfolio test required for admission to B.Des Communication Design at SGT University?
Ans. SGT University does not require any national-level entrance exam for admission to B.Des (Hons.) Communication Design. Admissions are based on merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination and a Personal Interview/Portfolio Review conducted by the university. While a prior portfolio is not mandatory at the time of application, students with existing creative work (sketches, digital designs, photography, etc.) are encouraged to present it during the PI as it strengthens their candidacy. The PI is conducted on a rolling basis after application submission and can be attended online or in person.

Ques. What is the total cost of studying B.Des Communication Design at SGT University over 4 years?
Ans. The total academic fee for the 4-year program is Rs. 7,32,500 (tuition fee of Rs. 7,20,000 at Rs. 90,000 per semester + caution fee of Rs. 10,000 + other charges of Rs. 2,500). If a student opts for on-campus hostel accommodation, the additional cost ranges from Rs. 1,40,000 per year (four-seater room) to Rs. 2,00,000 per year (twin-sharing room), inclusive of meals. Over 4 years, hostel costs would add Rs. 5,60,000 to Rs. 8,00,000 to the total expenditure. The caution fee of Rs. 10,000 is refundable at the time of leaving the university.
