University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I study B.Sc Geography Hons and the main motivational factor behind choosing this subject was my passion for it. Personally I really like my Department and Faculty members....We have 7 faculty members currently....the exams are conducted by our University Of Calcutta and it is really really tough to get a decent amount of SGPA in this University

In my time it was 3years couse,recently it all the syllabus is upgraded, in 3years course there are total 6semesters in 6mounth gap(on paper) but we have to complete full syllabus on average 3.5to4 months

As I am a jenpass aspirant so choose this course. A lot of great professor in our faculty and the number of student in our class around 50. They are highly qualified for popular university. They used the projector for student. There is a semester system after six month in our college . The question paper are so difficult.

Actually I like plant nature that's why I choose botany but after that I get to know that nowadays a minimum students took the course in my year there are only 6 student in which 4 male 2 female students. The qualification of the teaching stuffs are well good but we get less classes to complete our syllabus due to excessive holidays like there was a function 2 days later the college will also suspended before 2days of the function . We have so many practical class we just can't get enough time to cover up the syllabus

As usual I have chosen this course bcoz I have got 92 percent in Economics and 88 percent in Mathematics and for getting a clear and perfect job like in India there are many jobs which are economical based and professional so for getting a perfect knowledge of job and business ideas i have taken this course

Not bad but not also good some time in office and unions members doing very bad things with us so otherwise they also good That's all And also teachers are good ???? nice conversation understanding classes

From sem 5 they give us the placement, companies like TCS, wipro etcs. Average pakage is 30k to 40k as per experienced. Percentage is good like 75% to 80% in science stream and good % in arts. My plan is to experience many companies with 3year or 4years and get a good pakage job at last.

I do chose the course, because I love Microbes, microscope, and microbiology Our depertment has 4 teacher and two lab assistant and 15 students, and our junior semester, like 3rd semester has 30 students and 1st semester has 25 students Head of the Department had PhD degree and others teacher has MSc in microbiology

Because there is no pressure in this course and in this college we got all opportunities for growing . Faculty and student ratio is 1:40 . Qualifications of faculties are very enough . Exams are always timely and Passing the exams are very difficult .

Course is best but this course take too much fees, And in course total 3 lab are required,but problem this is 3 lab are different please from main building, Faculty members are good , they are more helpful,
