University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I choose this course as I found it interesting, I found a friendly environment with my classmates and professors, teaching method of our professors is excellent they gave their best to teach and taught us very friendly,my college come under Calcutta University. Here exams are difficult to pass because time is very sufficient according to the syllabus.

I chose this course because geology is something which has very less competition, government jobs and they are high paying. Our batch has equal ratio:19 girls and 19 boys = 38 in total. Our faculty is the best faculty for specially geology. It's far better than many well known universities. All of them are high qualified and have abundant field and practical knowledge.

I choose geology because it has more scope than other Graduation course There were 38 students in total and 5 proffessors Some of the proffessors were PhD in applied geology , one of them were PhD in sedimentology The exam held two times in a year and it was a little bid difficult

I was determined to choose something different. So I've choosen geology (hons.). Faculty student ratio is around 1:5. Teaching methods are great. It's hard to pass a CU exam

Statistics are used in business to detect market trends and sales results, in education to determine teaching method effectiveness, in government to detect changes in population demographics and effectiveness of public policy, and in sports to examine player and team successes and capabilities. So I choose statistics honours at B.Sc. We have 25 student in stat department.

In the 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Though you can start doing internships from the first semester. MNCs like Google, J P Morgan, Deloitte have visited in the past years. There is a placement cells to deal with this matter. You can be a part of the placement cell also. Highest package is 17 LPA and on an avarage package is 5-6 LPA. My plan after graduating is to study further for post graduate degree.

I like zoology so I took the course. The student ratio is boys : girls is 10:28. The teachers are very helpful. The semester take place after evey 6 months. The examination is moderate. One can easy pass if he or she study 1 month before exam.

It is said that the mother nature has the magic in itself. Animals are the biggest magic of her to me. So I want to know much more about them. I am grateful to the college, which has good laboratory with great,respected professors,full of knowledge,careness and they always encourage us to outstretch our vision to the world,read as much as possible,but not to be stuck at only one subject and acquire more and more knowledge,and also to join the cultural activities in the college. TN Sir,MB mam,RC Mam,AP Sir,JS sir,SRM Mam,GD Mam,SM Mam,SMK Mam are our faculty members.

I was truly passionate about studying chemistry . Hence, I applied for various colleges for the respective course and got this college. Student ratio is 2:3 . Almost all the faculties are PHD holders. The teaching is moderate.

Asutosh college is one of the most reputed college under University of Calcutta to offer psychology courses.Currently, the department consists of 4 Permanent professors and two assistant professors.The student-to-teacher ratio is 80:6.Most of the professors are highly qualified.CU conducts semester exams every 6 months.Their scoring is quite stingy.
