- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

I will give a average rating because it doesn't reflect in placement because many students choose higher education so they should also pay attention in Bio technology for placement almost all students doing coding here

- Stricts action towards ragging. In my college there were no ragging held.
- Affordable and placements are quite impressive
- Fests and events are also held . Students commetiee are also very active in this college. And also different varieties of club's
Dislikes
- Zone culture. Here they have zone culture named as their states like up zone , bengal zone , South zone .
- Some of the professors are really terrible. As they get angry on students
- If you want to enter zone you have to get ragged by zone senior ( it's not compulsory to join zone but if you want as your wish you have to do this )

In my college according to this year college placements went 82% . If you can't get campus placement , there is a high probability if you can apply for any job outside campus and you have relevant skills you can get it . As alumini network of this college is quite good .
Microsoft, apple, Deloitte,....etc many companies visits i don't even remember ????more .
After getting degree i wants to prepare for govt job

- The internship opportunities are very good

- I am from south so I don't like the food .it's too sweet and they don't use much spice and salt
- The cost of living is very high which is 2 to 3 times higher to my native place
- The lab infrastructure is too poor it needed to be reconstructedl

For 6th semester people are eligible for internship and 8th semester campus placement. Many big companies like microsoft are visited our college. 90% of people from cse department are placed every year the highest package is 60lpa and lowest is 10lpa.
I want to settle well in a best company with high package after this degree

- Campus Greenery is very good. Lots of trees are there.
- Campus cleanliness is also very good and hygienic.
- Classroom for 1st years are excellent with air conditioner.
Dislikes
- Hostel Food is initially good. But after somedays, it get's worsened.
- Ground is very bad. No maintenance is done .
- No maintenance of bathrooms on daily basis.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course subjects are overall good for all branch. But, if a student is interested in giving competitive exams like GATE, then he must be facing problems as the semester course is more theoretical related and boring, the same old style education system.

- Mess food can be pretty bad and low quality in terms of nutrition
- Administrative processes can be slow and will often clash with class timings
- Industrial/Practical learning is low and semesters can feel too fast
Placement Experience:
You can sit for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. Before that there are many on campus internship opportuinities which very often result in PPOs. Approx. 70% placement can be expected in each brach. Highest salary can go upto 50+ lpa

- Campus is good. Professors are highly educated.
- Good coding culture and placement opportunities on campus.
- Nescafe, canteens are there to fill our stomach.
Dislikes
- The not provide single rooms for BTech students.
- Very less places are available in durgapur to visit
- Hostel mess food is average. Bad for non Bengali students.
Placement Experience:
Campus placement percentage is good here in NIT Durgapur. But for core branches, the packages sometimes very less. Students are eligible from the 3rd year itself to sit for an internship and from 7th semester, they can sit for campus placements.

the campus placement is so good when it comes to circuital branches but if we talk about non circuital branches then it it decent average 9-10 lpa but if you work hard then obviuosly you will get higher than that
after 6th sem you will eligible for campus placement
many big tech giants like microsoft,amazon,oracle,j.p morgan,flipkart and other companies like pwc,reliance,mahindra etc many companies visits there every year and offer a good number of offers
if i do not consider the recession period in 2023 then the placement percentge is greater than 78

- The college campus and infrastructure is very clean well maintained
- The environment is very good, serene and calm in the campus and the students are studious creating a competitive ambiance in the college and some of the faculties are good at teaching.
- The laboratory and the departments are well equipped and maintained, good ppts designed by the faculties is provided which is helpful for studies
Dislikes
- The faculties are too bad at teaching most of them just come in the class project ppts and leave the class some even don't even do that they comes in the class teach something which we can't understand and we have to study ourselves from the youtube
- After all rules and regulations some students don't obey them, some students are very indiscipline they don't even care the faculties too they consume cigarettes,alcohol,ganja in the campus too.
- Although there are a lot of rules and regulations and presence of anti-ragging officers in the campus, ragging still happens in the college
Placement Experience:
Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

- Fest and club . It looks after our extra curriculum or all round development
- No dress code . Its is obviously a good side

- Lack of sport facilities . There is no swimming pool
- Sir tends to give less grade even you perform well
- Campus is not beautiful compared to other nits

Placement is decent in most of the branches . Most student are placed in in campus few look for higher studies and few pursue their interest in research field . On an average 250 companies visit during placement season

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
