- Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
- Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
- The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

- Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
- The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
- The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

- I appreciated the importance of education that Jadavpur University always emphasized upon. The faculty and the teaching, the courses have helped me practice my research skills.
- The department specifically was holistic by invoking extra-curriculars and co-curriculars which included seminars and conferences. These often arrived with the benefits of cultural performances.
- The university shaped my understanding of the socio-political world and I shall forever remain grateful. It taught me resilience, circumstantial grounds of understanding and helped me become brave enough to remain out of the mainstream and its box.
Dislikes
- The administration perhaps is the most tedious segment of the entire university. It causes unnecessary delays and can be frustrating.
- The syllabus for Comparative Literature could use some changes, with respect to including newer aspects of literature, moving away from few of the classically foregrounded courseworks.
Placement Experience:
Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

- Lack of campus security that invites extreme situations. Trespassers misuse the space.
- Extreme political activities at times that disrupt the campus environment.
- Lack of infrastructure in places and no hygience.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for camous placemens from the third semester onwards.
Companies that have visited the Departmet of Comparative Literature witth campus placements offers are SVF, Hoichoi, Radio Mirchi, Papertrue, LearningMate, among others.
Highest package offered by companies is 8.5 LPA
Percentage of students getting placements is 85%
My plans after getting my MA degree is to go for a PhD.

1. Students typically become eligible for campus placements from their last/Final semester of study.
2. Top companies visited like Jio,HSBC,Google,Microsoft
3. Over 1000 students placed and average package offers 10 LPA
4. After completing the MA in Education couse , I am going for Higher studies like Ph.D. or working as research scholars.

- Lush green and lovely campus, gives a perfect city vibes as well as greenery around
- Huge social influence, and good knowledgable people around who are ready to discuss on any intellectual topics.
- Expert faculty with proper emphasis on lecture quality, delivery, etc. Every faculty has a phD in their respective field.
Dislikes
- Hectic lifestyle, there is a bit of pressure on syllabus completion
- Exams conducted are a bit difficult with a higher frequency on conducting
- Lack of Funding for campus development and deployment of proper infrastructure.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester.
Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions.
The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA.
Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits.
I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.

- The faculty and their teaching method is really good.
- Placement and internships are there in placement cell.
- Many conferences, call for papers and inter college seminars are organised.
Dislikes
- The bathroom cleanliness is questionable.
- Takes time to do the official works or get it done by the department.
- The campus environment can be overwhelming sometimes.
Placement Experience:
Usually the placement cell works great. They update students regularly with new job offers. The package starts from 3 lpa in literature departments. Also there are internship updates we get every now and then.

- I like the teaching method and also the unbiased responses of teachers.
- I like the relationship between person to person including teacher student it is really nice .
- Last but not the least our campus has a diversity of thinking knowledge politics which I like the most.
Dislikes
- I'm not sure but I hear that may be campus authority increase admission fees in some department which I don't like.
- The hostel infrastructure need to improve .
- And the campus health centre need to be more active.
Placement Experience:
From last final semester.
Many private companies like tcs and many more (these are for arts faculty) but in engeneering faculty companies like Google offers for placement.
Minimum 70% from engeneering faculty and approx 20% from arts and science faculty.
Still I'm not sure but preparing for competitive exams.

- Everything, there's nothing not to love about Jadavpur but if i had to pick two i would say, one, the campus life
- And two, the amazing faculty members and course structure
- The campus is very very lively when it comes to organizing sensitization events
Dislikes
- It is not that clean, cleanliness can be bettered since there are a lot of lakes and ponds in the campus
- Some students and seniors do come off as unhelpful at times especially if youre a new admission but eventually they do warm up to you
- Canteens can be open for a little longer
Placement Experience:
So for jobs and other opportunities, students usually have to take it in their stride and work hard to secure their future. Since after a master's in English you can go many different ways, it is basically up to you what you choose. Be it higher academia or corporate, the college faculty and placement cell are always ready to help you.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Very nice and supportive aswell as friendly.I love political science so I choose this course very helpful.It has very well connection with real-life examples.june and December is the time for exam and end semester.

- Basically, it does provide, but the internship opportunities are very less compared to other institutions
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course because it helped study about Psychology and socio political philosophy. The faculty members are highly educated. There were 2 semesters each year. If one attends all the classes regularly, it's not difficult to pass.

- The faculties, the ambience, the culture of the unuversity
- The senior students are also very much helpful, they are very liberal minded
- The study structure is very good, placement structure is also good

- Sometimes there are some politics involvement, which is not good
- Canteen food can be more cheap, though there are 4-5 canteens
Course Curriculum Overview:
I always wanted to do a master's degree, and JU is the top universities in India. all the teachers and the faculties are very student-friendly. the teaching method is also very good as the faculties are educated enough. It is a semester system, so you have to appear for the exams twice a year and there are internal exams also
