- MCC has announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round for NEET UG Counselling 2024 for admission to the vacant All-India Quota MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing seats. The last date for online choice filling and locking for the Special Stray Vacancy Round is November 22, 2024 (8 AM). The Seat Allotment Result will be released on November 23, 2024 @mcc.nic.in. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will have to report to the allotted institute from November 25 to November 30, 2024 (5 PM).

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a public central university in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1920, AMU is affiliated with UGC and a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). AMU Admission Process
AMU Admission process is completely online for all courses. AMU admissions for all courses are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination followed by counseling conducted by the university. Candidates applying for AMU Admissions 2024 can check the step-by-step AMU process given below:
Step 1: Application Form/ Registration
Candidates seeking admission at AMU must register for the desired program on the official admission portal of AMU @amucontrollerexams.com by paying the one the application fee of INR 700 for most of the courses.
Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Examination
AMU admissions for all courses are based on scores obtained in the national-level examinations such as CUET, NATA, GATE, etc, or entrance examination (AMUEE) conducted by the university. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance examination as per the desired courses.
Step 3: Counselling
AMU releases various Firm Lists/Merit Lists for all courses based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. The university will then conduct a counselling session for candidates selected in the Firm List/Merit List for seat allocation. During the counselling session, candidates may choose to block their seats to confirm the admission or wait for the next round of counselling for their desired specialization.
Step 4: Physical Reporting and Submission of Admission Fee
Candidates who accepted or blocked their seats during the counselling session are then required to report physically at the allocated department or institute along with the required documents. The admission will be confirmed after submitting all the documents and the admission fee.
AMU Entrance Exam (AMUEE)
Aligarh Muslim University conducts its own entrance exam (AMUEE) for admission to its most of the courses. The university also conducts an engineering examination (AMUEEE) for admission to BTech, B.Arch, and M.Tech programs. AMUEE is usually conducted in May every year. This year admissions will only be offered to those students who qualify AMU Entrance Exam 2024. The AMU entrance exam is conducted once a year at the university level. The test paper for the exam is in English Language and MCQs based. The total duration for the same is 2 hours. After qualifying the entrance exam, candidates will be required to undergo a counselling process. The counseling procedure will begin after the announcement of AMU admission test. Counseling for AMU admission will be done independently based on the candidates’ rankings.
AMU Exam Controller
AMU Controller of Exam or AMU Exam Controller conducts the Admissions Tests, End semester exams and other University exams. AMU Cutoff
AMU cutoffs are released based on marks secured in the entrance examination. Some of the factors that will be considered for the preparation of the AMU cutoff are the exam difficulty level, previous years' cutoff trends, total number of qualified candidates, total number of available seats, etc. The cutoff score will be different for every category and course. However, candidates must note that meeting the minimum cutoff score released by the university does not guarantee admission. AMU Distance Education
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) provides distance education through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). AMU CDOE offers various UG, PG, and Diploma courses through a distance mode of learning. Admissions for AMU Distance Education are based on marks secured in the qualifying examination. The university does not conduct any entrance examinations for distance education. The campus of AMU is spread over 467.6 hectares (1155 acres) in the city of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. AMU has off-campuses outside Aligarh at Murshidabad, West Bengal state, at Mallapurum, Kerala state, and at Kishanganj, Bihar State. The university also has one primary, seven High schools (including one for the Visually Challenged), and two Senior Secondary schools for boys and girls. Games and sports have been a distinctive feature of the AMU. The Skating and Riding teams have excelled at the inter-university level. Perhaps this is the only University with a Riding Club. The campus also has a cricket ground, Willingdon Pavilion, a synthetic hockey ground, and a park, Gulastan-e-Syed.

the admission process for zakir hussain college of engineering and technology is very simple. they conduct there own test that is AMUEEE and the students clearing off the cutoff are admitted there are around 50-60 seats for every course

Aligarh University, the Central University, every degree on from the University as a greater value as compared to other colleges and other universities. Kuljit, the less opportunities of a job in the job market infrastructure of the Aligarh Muslim University is very good as compared to other universities or other colleges.

- The college provides book bank facility for students from where students can purchase course books at the cost of just 15% of the original price of the book which they have to return at the end of the session.

I appeared for JEE MAINS examination in which I couldn't secure a good rank. But with my lower rank I applied for admission in several colleges amd got a confirm seat in Darbhanga Engineering college. Simultaneously, I qualified the AMUEEE entrance and I took admission as Darbhanga Engineering college is run by Government of Bihar.

I didn't applied for any other college as i found Aligrah Muslim university the best one Admission process is just to give entrance exam of various courses and cutoff is generally higher but exam paper is easy

Admission:
It is best value for money college and I get my dream branch computer engineering over here. You have to clear there own written exam of 150 makes for admission of physics , chemistry and maths. Minimum marks for admission is 35 and you need 65 for computer engineering.

- Iike dhabebazi is very normal in among the student i don't like this bcx many student spend most of the time in dhaba which is not goood for their own life and i hate this
- Hostel problem there is hostel problem in campus bcz there is rush in campus and it id very affordable university all over the world and that's why student not leave the university

First of all i didn't apply in any collage bcz i got every facility here and i am very familier to this environment and i think amu is best for me bcz i am belonging to a lower middle class family and bcz of this i not apply any collage The most important reason of not Appliying in any collage is that they all provide me the same thing what amu is providing me do i decide why i go there and comparison to other collage amu is very affordable for me and i got the same thing is less money then why should i go any other collage...

What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Aligarh Muslim University?
As your senior at AMU, here are some important tips from my side-
- Make clear goals and targets for yourself, and work hard to achieve them.
- Listen to the opinions of others, but do what feels right to you.
- Join clubs and societies while at AMU, and develop useful hobbies and skills.
- Do not let other people decide for you.
- Explore the world outside of AMU as well.
- Don’t spend your entire life on the AMU campus. Choose some other college/university (preferably in some other city or state) for your higher studies. This will give you lots of exposure.
- Set your boundaries and be vocal about them.
- Make friends.
- Commit mistakes, learn from them, and move on.
- Plan trips and travel as much as possible.
This is the best time to become self-sufficient and independent. Make the most of your stay at this university, and be sure to use your time wisely.
Is Aligarh Muslim University good enough for a B.Tech, compared to private universities like VIT, SRM, Manipal and Thapar?
AMU is better than VIT, SRM, Manipal and Thapar in many respects. AMU offers top notch facilities like these private colleges, but its fees are way less in comparison.
Here are the goods and bads of joining AMU-
- AMU has very good placements for CS, Electronics and Electrical branches.
- The cost of study and hostels is extremely pocket friendly.
- The campus is great and very safe for girls.
- The faculty and infrastructure are both top notch. The CS and Electronics teachers have worked in the past for MNCs like Cisco and Microsoft.
- The library and book banks allow easy access to books for those who suffer from financial difficulties.
- The core branches (civil, mechanical and chemical) do not get core placement offers on campus. But one who knows his/her subjects well and has a good CPI, can easily acquire a good core job off campus. Core branches usually receive software related jobs offers during campus placements.
- Some freshers might feel a cultural shock at AMU, but they’ll eventually adapt to their new environment.
Aligarh Muslim University is a more reputable brand in comparison to private colleges, and its education is much more affordable. You must work hard and get a good rank to get admission into AMU.

- It’s a central government institute so has better pay grades as compared to state colleges
- There is a 50% internal reservation, with no caste boundaries
- Internal are also eligible for external seats so if you get a good rank you can easily get a seat in the open category.
- It has a better UG-PG seat ratio
- You don’t have to serve any kind of service bond
- Better academic ambiance and clinical exposure.

JNMC AMU Cons
- There is no state quota in the PG
- Does not have a very good reputation so receives less funding.
- Aligarh is not a big city as compared to Lucknow.

AMU offers Ph.D. in various disciplines at Doctorate level. Ph.D. admissions are conducted in the month of August every year. Admission is granted on the basis of Written Test followed by Presentation/ Interview. The duly-filled application form is required to be submitted to the Office of Controller of Examination, AMU on or before the last date of application. NET/ JRF/ GATE/ CSIR/ DBT/ ICAR qualified candidates will be exempted from the Entrance Test but they need to appear in The Presentation cum Interview round.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) does not offer a B.Tech program in an online mode. The online courses available through AMU are mainly in arts, humanities, and commerce fields.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) does not offer a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) program. The courses offered at the undergraduate (UG) level include B.Voc, B.Lib, B.Ed, BA+LLB, MBBS, BDS, BSc+MSc, etc.
The new registration for the admisisons have been concluded for the BALLB course at the AMU for the academic session 2024-25.
Aspirants seeking admission in this program must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) of this University or an equivalent examination. Further, the candidate should passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) & English Core / English Elective individually & must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination.

Aligarh Muslim University does not offer B.Tech. Biotechnology course to the students. There are two courses offered in the Biotechnology which are M.Sc. and PhD.
At present, Aligarh Muslim University has more than thirty nine thousand students enrolled. It has an academic staff of more than sixteen hundred. The non teaching staff is more than five thousand.
BUMS is a medicine field course and it can be offered as a full time and regular mode course only. There is no private mode BUMS course offered in the Aligarh Muslim University.
