As per our research, students say that it really isn't as bad as people say. It is a great college, in terms of facilities. You can easily score a good CGPA if you put even a little effort, and you can have fun too while maintaining a good CGPA. They have everything they need around them in terms of food, restaurants, and places to have fun. Travelling to the city is quite easy, once you get here and get familiar with the city. The teachers don't really teach and things are outdated, but that's the scene in every college and you will have to study on your own. There are also a few teachers who are really great and if you maintain good relations with them, you can work on area projects and do wonders. The placements here are good too provided you put in the effort. You can't expect a 12LPA+ job without putting in the effort. Yes, the medians and means are low because a huge chunk of people are mass recruited, doesn't mean you can't get a good job. It all depends on how you study. The mess is decent, depends on yourself. Hostels if you get the one you want; it's fun and great with minor problems like ac not working once in a while, but if you complain they fix it within an hour or two tops. If you find some likeminded friends you can have all the fun you want as well as do well in academics.People unnecessarily hate SRM. It is not as bad as people say it is.

There are 2 blocks allotted for International students with a capacity of around 400. The hostel block is completely air-conditioned.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fee is standard for masters class. For bachelor's courses the fee may vary according to merit class. Stipend is provided for masters students. I haven't got a campus placement and our batch didn't have much campus recruitment.

A review about my life experience in SRMIST chennai KTR campus

The fee was around 1.02Lakh per year for years when the college was under VTU univesity but simnce no wiut has been deemed and its a university by itself it has raised the fee to about @lakh per year for 4 years. Scholarship is available on basis of 1) Merit -- More than 85% in 12 aggregate would give a 30% fee redemption for 4 yeras provided CGPA of 8.25 iis maintained. PWD scholarship- For studnet who avail PWD scholarsip yearly 20 thousand scholarshp is given Economic weaker section- Annual incoem Below 2.5-3Lakh wuld fetch 20,000 scholarship once in a year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The goal of biotechnology is to produce drugs by using living organisms such as bacterial cells, yeast, mammalian cells, etc. that are placed in culture to produce substances with pharmacological activity, such as monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of tumors. Faculties of my department are well educated and have very high practical knowledge and are student friendly. Most faculty members are associate professors. For BTech they conduct three cycle tests and model exams for practical and theory before the university exams and for Mtech two cts are conducted Ct1 consists of unit 1-2 and CT-2 for unit 3,4,5 and model practicals before the university exams
