As per our research, students say that it really isn't as bad as people say. It is a great college, in terms of facilities. You can easily score a good CGPA if you put even a little effort, and you can have fun too while maintaining a good CGPA. They have everything they need around them in terms of food, restaurants, and places to have fun. Travelling to the city is quite easy, once you get here and get familiar with the city. The teachers don't really teach and things are outdated, but that's the scene in every college and you will have to study on your own. There are also a few teachers who are really great and if you maintain good relations with them, you can work on area projects and do wonders. The placements here are good too provided you put in the effort. You can't expect a 12LPA+ job without putting in the effort. Yes, the medians and means are low because a huge chunk of people are mass recruited, doesn't mean you can't get a good job. It all depends on how you study. The mess is decent, depends on yourself. Hostels if you get the one you want; it's fun and great with minor problems like ac not working once in a while, but if you complain they fix it within an hour or two tops. If you find some likeminded friends you can have all the fun you want as well as do well in academics.People unnecessarily hate SRM. It is not as bad as people say it is.

How does studying in SRM Ramapuram feels like

I'm currently pursuing my undergraduate studies at SRM University located in Ramapuram. The course I chose is B.Tech (Information Technology). My annual fee for this course is 2,25,000, not including the book fee, CDC ( career development) fee or the hostel fee. The 2.25L is only for the tuition fee. The book fee is 15,000 per year, and the CDC fee is 25,000 ( only for the first year) . The admission fee is 10,000 and you have to pay 175 rupees each semester as a breakage fee, this is for lab purposes. You could avail of scholarships based on some categories like if you're the first graduate of the family or if your siblings are studying in the same college. There are many other scholarships based on reservation categories and on sports category

Note about SRM EASWARI ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Here, They collect 18000 per year. In this 130000 is tution fees,10000 for cdc ,25000 for placement training and the remaining balance for laboratory. Management donation is minimum 300000 . There is TNEA counselling available.

the fee structure is high compared to other local colleges around the district. They provide scholarships but I am not aware of those details and campus jobs are provided. Financial assistance not sure because they didn't provide me.

For BTech information technology, the annual fees are 2 lahks and 15000 + 15000 for career development and books. This will be the same for all 4 years. For financial assistance, you can opt for an education loan. Placement is well and good with starting package of 3lpa.
