Tution is based on income. If you are above 5 lakh then tution fee is 60000 per sem. 1-5 lakh will have to pay 20000 and below 1 lakh no need to pay tution fee. Apart from tution fee we need to pay annual fee at every year starting (odd sem) which around 20000 there is no remission on this. And hostel fee is 11000 for the year need to pay in odd sem again. Mess fee is 30000 per sem which everyone has to pay. There are scholarships available based on your excellence in studies and income based. Hostel fee may increase some times because renovations in hostel and for building new blocks. These fees are less compared to other private college they charge at least 2lakh per sem.

Approx 1,50,000/- per year and scholarships like Merit-cum-Means are available. Financial aid and campus jobs, including research and teaching assistant positions, support students. The fee hike policy is subject to institute decisions. Specific scholarships and jobs with stipends depend on individual eligibility and performance, with opportunities evolving over time.

The fee structure is somewhat high. But with the income certificate, we can have fee remission. If we have an income certificate of less than 1 lakh we can have a full fee waiver. We need to pay some extra fees library, wifi etc. And hostel mess fee. If it is below 8 lakh 2/3 remission is there. We can avail of government scholarships and some institute alumni scholarship also

NIT Trichy placements are good for Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Microsoft, P&G, Reliance Industries, etc. are some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive. The highest CTC offered to the students of this branch is around INR 40-50 LPA. Around 65-70% of students also get internship opportunities.
For understanding the several factors relevant to the institute, you should know both the advantages and disadvantages that are in favor of you. Thus, here is a detailed breakdown of every aspect you should know about NIT Trichy.
Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE) at NIT Trichy -

Course Fee | 6.65 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 28 LPA |
Average CTC | 12-16 LPA |

The major disadvantage to talk about is, It can degrade your performance if you lag behind, during study hours. There is no other significant drawback of neither the branch nor the institute. So opting for this course can be a good step.
I know a little bit about ISI Kolkata since I have a few friends from the institute. Here is what you should know about the internships between semesters.
The course curriculum specifies that in the summer after completing your first year of M.Tech, you have to do an internship either in the industry or academia. You will have 3 options.
Industry:
Academia:
Within ISI:
If for some reason you could not get an internship in the above-mentioned ways, you can approach any of the 250+ faculty members across all 5 ISI‘s and can ask to work with them in their labs.
You will have internships at the end of the first year. In the second year, you will have placements, dissertation, academics. So, the only time left to do an additional internship is the winter break after the first sem. Unless you are extremely enthusiastic, I will suggest that you take a break during this period. Because after the break you will be swamped with coursework for 1.5 years.
The average package for the Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE) branch at NIT Trichy during the 2022 placement was around 7-8 lakhs per annum. However, the actual package offered can vary depending on various factors such as the student's academic performance, skills, and the company they are hired.
Some students from ICE branch have also been known to receive higher packages in the range of 10-15 lakhs per annum. It's important to research the specific companies that hire from NIT Trichy and their salary ranges to get a more accurate idea of the potential packages for the ICE branch.
The answer would be Yes. One of my friends had completed B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from NIT Trichy. The course is definitely tough but the level of difficulty perceived may differ from person to person. And here is some of the information about the course.
Sheer multi-disciplinary nature of subjects :
Involvement in Laboratory activities :
Programming and Analytical skills :
Product design and Development :
Design specification :
These were some of the aspects that make Instrumentation and Control Engineering tough. The course is pretty involved and demanding. Though all these mentioned aspects and skills are required to be a successful Instrumentation engineer.
Instrumentation & Control Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering are different branches. Although, both of these branches have some similarities. To choose between both of these is your choice.
Here are some of the facts about NIT Trichy and SSN.

NIT Trichy has a brand name higher than SSN. However, if you are planning to do higher education such as MS abroad, then regardless of the brand, you should choose SSN as it will help you to grow academically.
Instrumentation and Control engineering of NIT Trichy is a tremendously demanding branch. I have a few friends from NIT Trichy and according to them, the department is great. Except for a few of the faculties the faculty members are cooperative.
In fact, in this branch, you will be exposed to a very healthy learning procedure. Most essentially, the department of Instrumentation and Control engineering has a broad and diversified curriculum. You can ask some of the alumni members to walk you through the subjects, electives, curriculum, and other relevant areas of concern.
The first and most important thing to know is “Nothing is difficult”. If you are finding difficulty in engineering then you lack passion and motivation. If you are passionate about Instrumentation then you would not find anything tough.
The atmosphere at NIT Trichy is quite competitive and you should be well prepared to score good marks in your respective branches. You might find some challenging professors. The course curriculum for Instrumentation is a blend of Electronics and Coding. It is also one of the fast-growing industries.
Here is the placement highlight of the year 2020.

NIT Trichy is one of the finest engineering institutions in India and you would surely get the best learning experience and knowledge. In terms of getting admissions at NIT Trichy, then one might say that it is a little bit difficult but not impossible, just score well in the JEE Main.
I have friends pursuing courses you mentioned above at either institute. Based on the discussion I have with them, here is what should be best for you,
However, the fees at BITS Goa are quite a lot.
There is nothing called instrumentation engineering. The students usually study the syllabus of the electronic branch that includes learning low-level languages along with the complete command of them.
If you wish to join the private sector, then only the placement facility provided by the college is useful to you.
Categories | Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at BITS Goa | Instrumentation and Control Engineering at NIT Trichy |
Course Fee | 19.19 lakh | 5.65 lakh |
Highest CTC | 24 LPA | 22 LPA |
Average CTC | 12 LPA | 10-11 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Western Digital, JP Morgan, etc. | TCS, Infosys, Reliance, Morgan Stanley, etc. |
Last but not least we can say that the college for the instrumentation branch is the version of the electronics branch of engineering. It totally depends on you how much effort you are putting into the same and not depend on the college.
