Which is better NIT Trichy ECE or NIT Calicut CSE?

NIT Trichy is always considered superior to its counterparts and rightly so. The institute has a record of excellent placements, a competitive environment, and a highly learned faculty pool. NIT Calicut is well-known for its exceptionally good CSE department. So, I think the decision of choosing between NIT Trichy ECE and NIT Calicut depends more on personal preferences than the institute. However you would like to consider the following points before making the final decision, ECE is a bit more challenging than CSE in terms of the curriculum and the opportunities offered. However, hard work and assistance from faculty can help you. CSE on the other hand is an evergreen branch that has a record of providing hefty packages and great opportunities in general. NIT Trichy has a difficult campus life owing to its extremely hot climate and remote location. NIT Silchar has a pleasant climate with a beautiful lush green campus. If you look at the overall picture, both colleges have excellent departments and offer similar opportunities, so the major determining criteria should be your branch preference. If you are interested in electronic systems and communication, go for NIT Trichy ECE but if you have an interest in programming NIT Calicut CSE is better for you.

Should I take NIT Trichy ECE or IIIT Hyderabad ECE?

One of my close friends is pursuing EXE from IIIT Hyderabad and was all praise for the institute. She had come with zero expectations and the institute as well as the branch impressed her. ECE is a whole different story from CSE wherein you need fundamental knowledge about concepts and coding skills alone are not enough. The faculty pool comprises highly qualified professors who are very passionate about research and adopting modern pedagogy. IIIT Hyderabad has the best lab facilities and modern instruments. Although there is no mechanical department, IIIT is well known for its strong focus on Robotics. IIIT Hyderabad placements are excellent and this year, the highest salary increased by 32% and was recorded at INR 74 LPA. B.Tech CSE average salary stood at INR 32 LPA and major recruiters included Bloomberg, Code Nation, Deloitte, Facebook, Google, HSBC, Indeed, etc NIT Trichy has an advantage of a bigger campus and more experienced faculty. So, NIT Trichy is a good choice if you want a great campus life along with studies but if you want to focus on academics only then IIIT Hyderabad is the place for you.

Is studying ECE at NIT Trichy better than studying ECE at CEG?

I have a few friends from both NIT Trichy and CEG and here is what I gathered from my conversations with them. In terms of ranking, NIT Trichy is placed higher than CEG. This is because NIT admits students based on JEE Mains ranking and CEG admits students based on board marks. In terms of placements, NIT Trichy would be way ahead of CEG. The college enjoys a better reputation and big firms come for placements. For ECE, then recruiting companies visiting the on-campus placements at NIT Trichy are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, SanDisk, Nvidia, etc. The average CTC offered is 6 LPA. You can also go for higher education if you have a good GPA and great projects. The faculty team is overall good. A few of them are extremely knowledgeable and conduct high-quality research. In terms of facilities, NIT Trichy has an edge over CEG. Since CEG is in Chennai, there are other sources of enjoyment but NIT Trichy is 20 km away from Trichy. Overall, NIT Trichy will be a better choice than CEG.

How good is ECE at NIT Trichy?

Honestly, the academic environment of the ECE branch at NIT Trichy is deteriorating day by day. One of my friends, an ex-student of NIT Trichy, brought light to this matter. He told me that the labs are more focused on report writing than actual work. The exams conducted are based on rote learning and not testing the concepts of the students. They are expected to mug up the concepts even if they haven’t understood them and score good marks. However, there are some exceptional cases of professors who are proficient in their respective fields like digital electronics, digital VLSI, signal processing, computer architecture, etc. To do projects under them, you need to have a high CGPA. The placement training sessions are also pretty good with many intellectual questions in the respective topics. Ultimately, I will say if you are a true electronics fan then take ECE either in the new IITs or go to IIIT Hyderabad. Coming to NIT Trichy will only waste your time and money.

What would be the better choice - ECE at BITS Goa or ECE at NIT Trichy?

Since you have decided on a branch beforehand, comparing two institutes becomes easier. That being said, BITS Goa is a clear winner and you can go for it without any hesitation. Consider the following parameters Infrastructure: Being a private institute, BITS Goa has excellent infrastructure and facilities. The campus is fully wifi-enabled with air-conditioned classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a well-stocked e-library. There are several MOOC or reverse classroom courses too. Faculty: BITS Goa has a thorough recruiting process and only then best professors are selected thus maintaining the standards of teaching here. The faculty members are expected to be highly experienced and have published at least 5 papers. There is also a faculty monitoring committee, to ensure quality teaching. Course structure: BITS Goa has a well-structured curriculum and the pedagogy adopted is modern. Campus life: Being located in a tourist city, the campus life experience is full of fun. Placements: BITS Goa placements statistics are excellent and this year the average package stood at INR 30.37 LPA. Unless you have any financial constraints, choosing BITS Pilani over NIT Trichy will prove to be a more fruitful decision.

How good is ECE at NIT Trichy compared to NITT CSE?

Both branchers are slightly different except for a few topics that overlap in the curriculum. Comparing it with one another is not worth it as both have their own differences. Let’s take a quick comparison for clearing one’s view: Efforts: CSE is much more on the lighter side than ECE. Professors: Neither of the branches has good faculty members but ECE is probably better. Students: CSE will have a lot of North Indians if you want to look it that way. Placements: CSE has no comparison to other branches in terms of opportunities not only in jobs but even in internships. 70% batch gets internships after 3rd year in very good companies. NIT-T Fest: This is one of the things which excites every student after placement statistics. It’s amazing out there. It is suggested to select the field based on interest. Go for CSE only if you are inclined towards the field otherwise, both branches can give you ample opportunities to learn and grow.

Which is the better course between NIT Trichy ECE or IIT Bhubaneswar for Metallurgy ?

NIT Trichy would be a better choice than IIT Bhubaneswar for Metallurgy because of the following reasons. The placements are better for in ECE than in Metallurgy. If students fail to get core placement in NIT Trichy, they can still try for top-notch coding and management companies recruiting from the ECE department. There are numerous Technical clubs for first years students who are passionate about Electronics. NIT Trichy has lower academic fees than IIT Bhubaneswar. But it may vary for different courses. The course fee of B.Tech in NIT is 72,100 whereas in IIT Bhubaneswar it is 1.4 lakh. In terms of quality of infrastructure and social life, NIT Trichy is better than IIT Bhubaneswar as it is much older. NIT Trichy ECE in 2019 has undergraduate placement of 95% and IIT Bhubaneswar Metallurgy has 90% placement in 2019.

NITT- The Pride of India

The tution fees is a fixed amount of 62500 and rest is all other fees like wifi fees, infrastructure and all which changes in a course of an year. The total fees for the course is around 650000 which I would consider a decent amount for both the parties. There are many scholarship schemes like NSP, SC/ST scholarship for TN students and many more for better economic support for needy students.

NIT Trichy- An insight

There are several interesting courses in the curriculum.

As far as I know, there is no such fee hike. The college does allow students belonging to the EWS category to avail scholarships for the course. The tuition fee comes to around 8 lakhs, excluding hostel fees.

Per semester tution fee is 62500 every time we come to hostel after vacation we should pay this fee and hostel fee is 50,000 but there is fee remission for backward students and sc,st,was,obc,so it is fair and college is agreeing for scholarship also

RANK1 NIT TRICHY(PROS AND CONS)

The tution fee is generally hike by 500-1000 rupees per 2 years. The cost of education includes the tution fees, the amenities cost(one time), the hostel fees and the expenditure of own. The calculation goes that the cost of whole 4 year course is around 8-10 lakhs. The amenities cost includes the medical expenses, the wifi, the other sports facilites and the fests which is around 50k which is one time. Talking about the financial aids, they provide a 2/3rd tution fees remission for family income under 5LPA, and whole tution fee remission for under 1LPA. Other is you can apply for an education loan from bank which itself in the college. Scholarship opportunities is less but you can explore and can apply( i haven't applied.) For B.tech students you can apply for paid internships, you can do freelancing on the basis your skill knowledge, even there is a teaching club here, which helps you in developing teaching skills, so that you can teach students online and earn.

The campus itself provides placement and internship for each student.Foundation for excellence scholarship,NSP scholarship is provided. Approximately 200000 rupees is the whole fee we are spending in the college.

NIT the pride of India

The fee structure is very good, and hikes are very low considering to fees. There are some compulsory charges but only in the first semester and after that it is pretty much the same every semester. The college offers many scholarships too.
