As of my electro technical officer course. We are eligible to attend interview form the day one ..as the company approaches based on the eligibility criteria of the company they send the students. Companies visited our college are maersk, bsm , marshall , good wood ,thome, osm and many more. 100 percent placement

Indian Maritime University Chennai pros and cons

Likes

Very . nice and friendly staff who always care for you
Facilities are really good . Like swimming and ground facilities.
Seniors are really good they are always to grow us.

Dislikes

The class duration is very lengthy it should be upto 2 only.
Food facilities should be improved and hygiene.
For some people it is difficult to fit to the routine

The course is very promising to placements. It includes swinning games and alround development of self.the course only includes subjects that help in working on board. Exams are conducted term wise and its ok for everyone.

Infrastructure is very good here you get everything inside the campus
Faculty and staff are well trained as per the course

Dislikes

Hectic schedule for college from 8:30 am to 4:40 pm
Early morning wake up for pt in the ground

Placement is very good in the campus. Most of them get placed inside the campus during the course only. If anyone left than also college give them 1 years opportunity to get placement from college only

The discipline of the college is too good
College teachers are well educated with good experience as chef engineers
The college infrastructure is good and good place too study

Dislikes

The food is not good and no one take care about it
College MD always interfere with the college students and staff

Of course fees is little high than government colleges
There are Dorm arrangement rather than rooms.
Nearby Locity where the college is in chattarpur.

Faculty is very supportive and experienced
Hostel mess home like food never disappoints
Canteen is aslo good you can buy any time

Dislikes

Hostels bathroom locks on 1st floor bathrooms are not working rest all is good clean bathrooms and toilets
Aslo the ac pipes have leaks you'll have to complaint again and again to fix

As this course is of 1 yr duration ( only 8-9 months if you excluded holidays and events ) and cheaper i decided to choose this course . Faculty is very good they focus on our over all development and their main motive is to make an officer out of us . Exams are not difficult if you study every day

The teaching staff is very good. They teach well
There are good facilities regarded to studies
The food is good and healthyand poses no health threat

Dislikes

The ground is not well maintained and long grass are pressent
The hostel are surrounded by trees which lead to insects
Hierarchy is must. Seniors are very strict

Campus placement nears 100% for almost every batch. That is the main attraction of the institute. Several companies come throughout the 4 years. In some cases, students are placed in the first year itself. Companies keep coming and recruiting in bulk.
