- The faculty are well experienced and they try their best to give their most to the students by utilising the most of the resources available.
- The fee structure varies from course to course and scholarship is provided by ugc and state governments and the university also provides certain incentives for meritorious students and there are employment opportunities if one is qualified for the post.
- The campus life was great, we had a huge library, canteen to hang out, read and get connected with students from other departments.
Dislikes
- Every year a sports event is held known as ramilo sukhim but we have to go to different places for each event due to lack if campus facilities.
- The management department is in such place where there is no canteen of shops near by.
- No proper campus, classes, hostels and programs run on rented buildings which delay implementation of new facilities or schemes

Dislikes
- Permanent campus is not there, so it's a bit difficult for students.
Placement Experience:
The campus placement facility for this university is not quite active for all the departments, since the location of this university is remote and there are lots of arts department in this university so it's not possible.

- The faculty are very experienced and well qualified.
Dislikes
- The campus is being built and the university is still without any campus
Placement Experience:
Placement cell is available in the University but it is not active for most of the department available right now.
Also considering the remote location of the university and the department from every field are not actually eligible for placement such as History.

- Teachers are really nice and supportive, there is no department politics. Laboratory facilities are good
- Hostel facilities are good, food is good, very friendly environment woth great gaurds
- Administration is extremely good, I personally have witnessed other universities but this have the most strict with disciplined Administration. Never found delay in result or anything. Things sre very smooth going.
Dislikes
- There is no campus which is a drawback of this university but the construction is in progress and departments are shifting.
- Not specifically about the university but about the Gangtok city there is shortage of water.
- Buses are available but sometimes they don't maintain the schedule.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Since the most important aspect of our course is field Work, what can be better than experiencing field Works in the Himalayas. Himalayas are the best place to apply your theoritical knowledge to the field. Not only field living in Himalayas means every single second you are watching and learning something about Geology.
Improvement can be done in increasing the numbers of field works, we go for 14days field training twice in the course.

Admission:
After B.Sc in Microbiology, I decided to go for further studies and started looking for a college. I came to know about Sikkim University from the Internet and decided to apply for it. Eligibility for applying is to score a minimum of 45% aggregate and all I had to do was apply online which was fairly simple.

Admission:
I got direct admission to the college. I just showed my 12th mark sheet and I got admission in my course. Generally, the university needs at least 45% in 12th class as the standard criteria for all the course. But you also have to fill an admission form and you have to pay Rs. 200 for it.

The admission process is very easy in Sikkim University. After completing my graduation, I filled an online application form for MSc. An entrance exam was held and on the basis of our scores, we got selected. Only 20 seats are available for the master's degree, so the selection is based on the merit list.
