Likes

Faculty were very good they teach very nice no partiality with any student.
Campus is really beautiful. the campus spreads around 600 acre covered with greenery all around. hostels are also very nice. boys hostel are fabulous.
Better placement are given to the students who make efforts for getting a job

Dislikes

Never like to involve any crowded surrounding or bad surrounding.
the major problem is that the college is completely closed after the classes has over.
The thing i dislike the most is, they are too strict

A simple description of Sambalpur University

Likes

Environment is too good to enjoy your studies
Maximum Teachers are good and will make you understand More
Senior Students are good and cooperative

Dislikes

Some teachers keep grudges on students And cut their Marks
Some seniors will ask for introductions each time they see u
Late action on each and every issue of hostel

Cse has different departments like Ai, Ml,etc Whichever anyone can choose but i took only Cse and got the job . It is good for every work and you can choose data science like specification for your job profile

SUIIT HONEST REVIEW

Likes

Regular classess- rearly some classes are suspended
Strict labs- lab activities are done very serictly
Supportive lecturers - in case any issue teachers are suppotive

Dislikes

Course structure -the course structure is very messy
Less time for semesters- only got 3-4 monta for semester
Less faculties -- faculties are not available as required

Placement Experience:

A few companies come and some of the students only get placed on very minimal salary packages. About 5-6 companies come to college every year. Most of the students get selected in the placement drive are not even appear interview due to poor packages

Overall good. Good faculties, good Infrastructure. Average placement.

Likes

cooperation of teachers and their behaviour, way of teaching
infrastructure of the college which includes wifi , labs and library
anti ragging policies and action taken by the college

Dislikes

behaviour of the staff member i so rude. They are not cooperative at all. someone has to wait hours to solve a problem
hostel facilities and mess food at night are very dissapointing
seniors are neither respected nor valued by the juniors due to the unwanted anti ragging policies.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester one becomes eligible for campus placement . Many companies such as infosys TCS , Accenture ,are recruiting companies for our college. highest package offered was 9 LPA and average pakage is 3.5 LPA .60% students are placed in our college. I have planned to pursue mtech in IITs

Faculties are well experienced and they explain bit by bit.
Good environment to study. Less noise area
University campus is pretty good when comes to nature

Lack of placements for the current year students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was not that much bad because it involved the general CSE concepts like DBMS,OS,CN which will help the students in building the CS fundamentals and basics. But there need to be improvement in some areas like adding of languages like Python, Java and JavaScript which are trending these days. The exam timings are good enough.

Likes

As I have mainly focused on my studies the college has provided a grate environment to me.
They have a good faculties with grate research knowledge, they also helped me to know that I to do a research.
As a student we have the access to the central library where you can find every things related to studies.

Dislikes

I think there is a lack of innovation ideas in the students and the seniors have to encourage to their juniors to bring the innovation.
the major problem is that the college is completely closed after the classes has over.
There is a lack of play ground and If we have to play then we have to walk to the university play ground.

Placement Experience:

There are some companies who provides on campus drive and there are also some companies who go for the virtual drive which have a grate placement result and the highest package of the institute is around 18.5 LPA where as the average package is around 4-5 LPA

The college provides on-campus facilities with an average salary of 5 to 6lakhs per annum and the highest package is 15lakhs per annum. students also opt for off-campus if they are interested and are also qualifying.

Is BCA in distance mode available in Sambalpur University?

Yes, BCA in Distance mode is available in Sambalpur University. The first-year fee of the course is INR 16,600. The second and third-year fees are the same INR 15 000.
