Program Structure

Duration: The BBA program consists of 6 semesters, namely, even and odd semesters of six months duration each. Odd semester is from July to December whereas even semester is from January to June. Examinations are generally conducted in the month of December and May for odd and even semesters respectively.

Credits and Marks: BBA is a credit based course, hence, it follows CBCS pattern in each semester. Each paper of 1st and 3rd year carries 16 credits and 400 marks whereas the papers of 2nd year carry 18 credits and 450 marks. Hence, the program is assigned a weightage of 100 credits and 2500 marks for a total of 26 papers.

Examination: Examinations are conducted in each semester and the weightage distribution pattern is as follows:

Internal Exam: 20%
Semester Exam: 70%
Continuous evaluation in terms of class tests, quizzes, class participation etc: 10%

Candidates are required to score at least 40% marks separately in both internal & end-term examinations and 50% in aggregate in order to pass the examinations.

Evaluation: Evaluation of the candidates is done on the basis of his/her performance in internal and external examinations. Additionally, class tests, quizzes and presentations for each paper also contribute significantly towards the evaluation process.

Dissertation and Viva-voce Presentation: During the 5th semester, each student will be required to prepare a dissertation on any topic of his/her interest under the guidance of a faculty member. The dissertation and viva-voce carries 70 marks and 30 marks respectively.

Scholarships: Sambalpur University provides financial assistance to needy students with weaker financial backgrounds. Students can also avail scholarship facilities offered by the Odisha state government based on their merit and eligibility as mentioned below:

Fees and Financial Aid:

I am pursuing BBA in this college so my course fee is for 3 year is 1,35,000. 45000 per year 22,500 per semester. Scholarship is available based on government policy odisha government for st,sc and obc candidates holding land in odisha and also other scholarship provide based on exam conducted by college.

Annually we give 123000 to college we can also give directly all or we can give at 3 times like 1st instalment 40k then 40k then the rest of the fee I'm still studying I never got a job I will try to get one!
