NMIMS PhD (Management) Part Time Fees

The Ph.D. (Management) Part Time programme at NMIMS SBM has an annual fee of Rs. 2,50,000. An assured scholarship of Rs. 2,00,000 per annum is provided to eligible students, bringing the effective annual cost down to Rs. 50,000. Over the minimum 3-year duration, the total gross fees amount to Rs. 7,50,000, while the effective fees (post-scholarship) come to Rs. 1,50,000 for 3 years.

NMIMS PhD (Management) Part Time Admission 2026

Admissions to the Ph.D. (Management) Part Time programme at NMIMS SBM for the 2026 batch are conducted in two phases. Phase 1 registrations opened on 14th February 2026, and Phase 2 registrations are currently open until 31st May 2026. The selection process involves an entrance test (100 marks, 120 minutes) and a personal interview, both held at the Mumbai campus. Candidates with valid NET/SET/GATE/GPAT/JRF scores are exempted from the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale).
Candidates who obtained their degree through part-time, distance learning, correspondence, or open school from a recognised university are eligible to apply as per UGC guidelines.
Candidates appearing in or awaiting final year results are eligible to apply; admission will be provisional until eligibility is confirmed.

Admission Process:

Step 1: Register online at www.nmims.edu, pay the application fee of Rs. 2,500 + GST, and complete the application form along with a 1,000-word Statement of Purpose (SOP) specifying the preferred specialisation area.
Step 2: Download the call letter from the login dashboard and upload required documents for the entrance test and personal interview.
Step 3: Appear for the Entrance Test (100 marks, 120 minutes - Section A: Research Aptitude, Section B: Domain-specific Knowledge) and Personal Interview at the Mumbai campus. Candidates with valid NET/SET/GATE/GPAT/JRF scores are exempted from the entrance test.
Step 4: Selected candidates must complete admission formalities by uploading documents and paying fees within the stipulated timeline.
Final merit list is based on Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Personal Interview (30% weightage).

NMIMS PhD (Management) Part Time Scholarships 2026

NMIMS SBM offers an assured scholarship of Rs. 2,00,000 per annum to all admitted PhD Management students, including Part Time students, significantly reducing the financial burden of the programme. This scholarship is available for up to 5 years or until the completion of the PhD, whichever is earlier. Note that UGC-aligned JRF/SRF fellowships are available only to Full Time PhD students.
