Q: Why did MANIT Bhopal cutoff go down this year?

In 2017, all the NITS saw a drop in their cutoff ranks. The reason was the removal of class 12th boards percentage from JEE Mains rank calculation. Here is a simple example to get my point across- Let’s assume there are 3 seats in IITs and 3 in NITs in 2016, and 26 candidates sit for JEE Advanced.This is how their ranks are placed- A-1, B-2, C-3, D-4, E-5, F-6, G-7, and so on. Till 2016, a lot of top performers of JEE Advanced lagged behind in JEE Mains because of their boards percentage. This created an irregular pattern for the JEE Mains ranking. For example, the JEE Mains rankings of those very students could have turned out like- C-1, D-2, E-3, B-4, F-5, A-6, H-7, and so on. Now, A,B,C took the 3 seats in IITs, and D,E,F got into NITs. So, the cutoff for IITs was 3, and that for NITs was 5 ( as F was the last one to get into NIT, with rank 5 in JEE Mains). But in 2017, the JEE Mains rankings were quite similar to the JEE Advanced rankings. So, the rankings for those 26 students could look something like this in 2017- B-1, D-2, A-3, C-4, F-5, E-6, K-8, and so on. If A,B,C took IITs, and D,E,F got into NITs, the cutoffs for NITs was 6 ( as E with rank 6 was the last person to get in). Here, the cutoff went down by 1 rank. But when lakhs of students attempt an exam, such a change brings down the cutoffs by hundreds and thousands. This is the reason why MANIT Bhopal cutoffs went down from that year.

I loved the college

Wide range of opportunities in every field . Sports services are available 24 hrs , you can go and play and use equipments freely
Campus is huge covering over 685 acres with big classes.

Although haven't faced any ragging encounters for now but there are restrictions on 1st year students to avoid ragging cases

According to my jee mains rank, I got confirmed IIIT jabalpur in first round. I wanted the nit tag therefore skipped the above clg and moved to round 2 . Here got NIT Bhopal. Reason I preferred it over other NITs, is due to its E-Cell which is one of the largest in Asia. Admission process includes qualifying jee mains exam. You need to have minimum of 65k rank to get into NIT Bhopal. Admission process was super smooth , got it done in hours during physical reporting

Placement is better average and hishest are also good ,all Sports facilities are available ,greenery in campus
Campus is covering area of 700 acres having good transport facilities of electric bus

First year students are not allowed to go outside the hostel after 7 pm

I have appied for Nits in bhopal , nagpur, jalandhar and jaipur and i get MANIT bhopal I give prefernce to manit because my home is about 40 km distance and also have a very high placement record in it Yes i have not the enough rank to get those colleges You have to give jee mains exam you can cheak cut off on jossa website or college prevesh yearly and catogary wise

MANIT, Once you enter here, There's no going back!

Campus life of MANIT is the best life you will get, it just easily outruns that of IITs because of freedom and less academic pressure.
It is the 2nd largest NIT in India, with 650 acres of lands, you can easily find your own spots to hangout with friends.

The administration is really dull and irritates you with it's less transparency and management.
Core companies for ece and ee rarely visits, max to max 5-6 per year

I wanted a campus life and branch balance, so i chose MANIT, ECE. I was getting ECE in NIT Jamshedpur(lesser NIRF and opportunity than MANIT) and EE in MNNIT Jaipur, but I wanted to go in that field that is more related to software side and so I chose MANIT. I got MANIT through josaa counselling, in 6th round and there was no interview or any other test for this college apart form jee mains. MANIT has cse,ece, mathematics and data science, mech,chem,msme,civil,ee,mca,mba, B planning, B architecture and Mtech courses. cutoffs for general is mostly bw 8k-14k for ece

THE COLLEGE I SAW

College experience is overall ver very good, fest here are min blowing we enjoy each and every activity here, atleast four fest happens yearly, these include Hindi Fest, entrepreneur events, Technically fest and central India's biggest fest MAFFICK.
Societies here are excellent, They help in our overall development enhancing our communication, personality and alot of skills

The attendance criteria of college is quite strict.
Some of the store facilities are not easily available for students

I got this college through JEE Mains 2023 exam( CSAB). I got application form Manit official website, we had to report offline on 17 August 2023. Through CSAB process we paid 76,000 and later it was adjusted in fees. System is perfect and as per me no improvement is needed.

My words

It has strong Academic Programs in engineering,architecture and planning. Experienced and supportive Faculty. great mentorships seminars. it provided bus facility in college that is good.
Good campus and Modern facilities including Library and sports complex.Impressive events for students, Active clubs and socities for improvement and social connection.

The things i most disliked about my college is that in my 1st semester teachers are bias and they give only attention to thier favorite students only whether it is theory or practical .
there are some seniors who forced me to come in there events and protest whether i am interested or not .

The things i like about my college is its infrastructure and its campus life. I got confirmed admission in MANIT Bhopal. and their is non other college i applied for admission. I also applied to MANIT Bhopal because it is near to my home city. NO, i didn't get rejection from other colleges. the admission process is good and easily done. The exam i give for my college is JEE MAINS. The eligibility of exam is 75% in board exams and you can give 2 times after 12th. the cutoff for passing exam for ST is 47%ile, SC is 46%ile and OBC and GENERAL is 85%ile .

I liked it's Lush green campus,it is really very big

What is the campus life, culture and experience in MANIT

College has very good environment the facility provided in the college is good and has very good lush green campus and has very old but maintained infrastructure sturcture
The faculty in the college is very supportive you have a good chance to nurture your personality by being a part of society

College administration is the worst they always try to oppress the student and try to control over them
The ban of two wheeler has made a problem to student this big campus student have to walk very long to reach classes and exhaust the energy in students

I've opted my priority of college 1. Vnit nagpur (barch) 2. Manit bhopal (barch) 3. Manit bhopal (planning) 4. Mnnit jaipur (architecture) I didn't got any rejection in college I choose arch program in manit but there was mistake in preference I got planning Admission process- Candidates need to qualify for the test and score minimum marks to get admission to NIT through JEE Main. For JEE Main qualified candidates, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts a common counselling process. ,There is also CSAB counselling In which for the seat that are vacant in after the josaa counselling

MANIT Bhopal, First Experiences (Perspective of a Dreamer)

The Campus is Lush Green and Eco- Friendly
The College being established in 1960 has Strong Alumni Netwprl resulting in Brilliant Placement Opportunities and Startup Culture

Ragging is a Major Concern, which has certainly fallen down in past 10 Years but it is still prevalent so, Students have to stay in Restrictions for majority of their 1st Semester
Some Professor are not Encouraging and Supporting

I got CRL 8095 in JEE Mains 2024 and 11169 in JEE Advanced 2024 so, I had ample of choices to opt from. My Best Options (Based on Last Year OR-CR) were MNNIT Allahabad ECE, NIT Rourkela ECE,NIT Kurukshetra CSE, ISM Dhanbad Mechanical, IIT BHU Metallurgy, IIT Roorkee Chemical Sciences, MNIT Jaipur DSAI, NIT Surathkal EEE, NIT Warangal EEE, NIT Trichy Mechanical, MANIT Bhopal CSE, NIT Jamshedpur CSE. I ended up selecting MANIT Bhopal CSE as, my family resides in Bhopal itself so, Proximity from Home, Brilliant Placement Records, Decent Alumni Network, Decent Startup Culture. Also the Pain of not getting in an IIT induced a Fire to crack GATE which is more compatible for CSE wrt ECE due to Curriculum Difficulty.

Honest review of manit student

College societies and college culture of living
College fests and events are well funded and are best.

A bit ragging is there in manit for first year students.
College campus is mostly looks like forest.

I get it through jossa counseling and the eligibility of getting admission here is jee mains crl and 75 above percentage in your 12 th standard exams.I got a rank of 9760 in jee mains 2023 and got this in 2 nd round of josaa and got cse stream here.
