I am a first year student B tech manit student at MANIT Bhopal. The annual institute fees is around 1.5 lakh for general /OBC students with family income above 5 lakh . The fee includes tuition fee, registeration fee, examination fee, library and lab charges and other compulsory institute charges . In the first year the fee is slighlty higher due to one time admission and caution charges.From second year onwards the yearly fee reduces a little and then remains almost stable, with a small chance of marginal increase as per institute policy. Hostel and mess charges are seperate,hostel fee is 23000 and mess is run by students and its fee is 27500 For other categories SC/ST get 100% fees waiver and pay only insitute and hostel charges Student with family income below 1 lkh get full tuition fee waiver and those under 1 to 5 lakh income get 2/3 waiver under the merit cum means scheme . Some students also receive central sector scholarship based on merit and income Overall , the course is reasonable affordable for an NIT ,especiallly with available scholarship

The year wise fees around 94468 both tution and hostel fee. tution fees is 20834, caution fees is 5000, registration fee is 2000, and other fees like student poor fund, lab fee, internet fee is around 8000. Student of sc and st category tution fee is zero. For general and obc category :- income less then 100000 fees is zero income between 1 to 5 lac then tution fees is 20834 income above 5 lac then tution fee is 62500.

My total fees would be 240000 ,mess fees would be 110000 and hostel fees would be 72000 for four years, apart from that I didn't get any scholarship until now. Fees of other categories would be around 400000 and there are many scholarships available for students like nsp, mptaas and etc.

THE FEE PER SEM IS DIFFERNET FOR DIFFERENT CATEGORY IF YOU ARE FROM GENERAL WHOSE FAMILY INCOME IS MORE THAN 5 LAKHS THEN YOUR HAVE TO PAY APPROX 70 TO 80 THOUSAND PER SEMESTER IF YOUR INCOME IS LESS THAN 5 LAKH BUT MORE THAN 1 LAKH THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY APPROX 30 TO 40 THOUSAND IF YOUR INCOME IS LESS THAN 1 LAKHS THEN YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY THE TUITION FEE YOUR TUITION FEE WILL BE ZERO YOU ONLY HAVE TO PAY OTHER CHARGES LAB AND ALL.

For manit the yaerly fees is Rs.1.25Lpa as tutuion fees, 15K as Hostel fees 8K as other fees and also hostel and maintaince charges (electricity and water ) about 21K for general students fees greater than 5Lpa for 1-5 lpa bracket the tution fees is only 1/3 of actual amount and rest all amount remains same for less than 1 lpa bracket it tution fees is waived off also for sc st tution fees is waived and rest all remains the same

As I fall under the 1,00,000-5,00,000 Bracket .I get 2/3rd concession in my tution fees which comes out to be around 21000 per semester approx and other fees is around 9000 per year and caution money is around 5000 which is just one time fees.And mess fess is 27500 per year and hostel fees is 21000 per semester ,overall I would say that the fees is quite decent and a good return on investment.
