I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.} from National University of Advanced Legal Studies - [NUALS], Ernakulam. The admission is based on the scores of 10+2 and CLAT exam.
I got admission into the University based on my score in the Common Law admission test that is CLAT. After qualifying the CLAT I sat for the counselling in which I was allotted a seat in the university. After the grant of seat I was called to complete the procedural formalities for admission. Since it is one of the top law University in the country it was natural for me to opt for it.
The college is the best in the state for studying law. Most of the faculty are good and knowledgeable but the syllabus needs to revamp and more sporting facilities has to be provided as we have a big campus. The library has all the books you need as a law student. The hostels are also good and safe. You can develop your character here as students from different parts of the country are studying here. Placements are improving every year and more people are recognizing our college.
Though the College is said to be one among the prestigious National universities in India, the quality of education we receive in this institution is deteriorating every year. The appointment of the incompetent teaching faculty is the best example to this issue. The College life of the students is also not that interesting as the campus is pretty small with no space for the students to even sit, talk and chill. There are not even trees inside the campus for a proper shade.
This college is a work in progress. If you are hardworking, you will shine here. As academic is not very rigorous, you get ample time to shine in other extra curricular activities which is of paramount importance to any law student.
