NUALS at its Best

Likes

The campus is lively with a lot of happening such as Debates, Sports, Quizzing etc even after class hours
Seniors have fostered an atmosphere which makes juniors feel at home
Campus is inclusive and diverse and caters needs for students with special needs

Admission:

NUALS always topped my first priority as it is one of the best growing NLUs in our country, which has the potential to become one the best law university in the future. The prime location where the college is located gives ground for students to approach internships easily.

NUALS: REVIEW OF 1.5 MONTHS

Likes

The campus although small is very elegant and nice.
The mooting culture is really really good.
The library has a vast array of expansive resources.

Dislikes

The teachers aren't great so have to depend on self learning.
The mess food is a hit or miss most of the times.
NUALS is the smallest campus of all the major NLUs.

Admission:

I did not apply to any other college. I wrote the Common Law Admission Test held in December 2024. I chose my list of preferences for National Law Universities in the National Law Universities Consortium. According to my rank in the Common Law Admission Test results, I was allotted a seat in NUALS.

NUALS: A first impression

Likes

The campus is beautiful. The buildings and gardens are well maintained, and the scenery is quite the sight. The classrooms are equipped with projector, AC and fans. Overall, the infrastructure might not be the best, but nice.
The library is vast and equipped with books and materials a law student need. There is space to study in the library and its open till 11.00 and E-books and online legal resources are also avaliable
The area is an industrial area, so online delivery services are fast and easy. The mess food is okay-ish much better than my last experiences; we have a private canteen in campus which is affordable. Uber service is elite here, fast but not cheap

Dislikes

As much as I liked the campus, the area is a bit isolated and rural. there are no proper shops; let me make that clear yes there are shops but you won't find aesthetic cafes and supermarkets unless u travel 20 mins.
As mentioned, the area is an industrial area so it's not exactly the cleanest or the safest, I mean this the opinion of the whole of Kochi as an outsider. so take that to account if coming here

Admission:

Admission to the college is through cracking clat exam. An average score of 80-90 is required in clat which is dynamic in nature. After the results are published you have to undergo rounds of counseling, more rounds depending upon whether you get placed into a college, choose that college, or quit everything overall. if you choose a particular college, you have to pay a certain sum to freeze your seat. Then further administrative process occurs and you are contacted via mail to fill in your documents and pay the due amounts, i.e.; tuition fees and hostel fees, etc. The clat exam itself is moderately to hard and requires skill in English and general knowledge to crack. It is comparatively easy to crack in comparison to NEET or JEE. As a member of the ST community, I got my seat through the seat reserved for ST. There is one seat reserved for ST, more as per the strength of the batch, and getting that seat depends on your AIR or your all Kerala rank.

It is a prestigious college in Kerala to do your law degree. The admission is based on the ranking in the entrance test for a post-graduate law degree,i.e CLAT PG. Allotment to 20 national law Universities in India will be done by the consortium according to your rank and college preferences.

Admission:

Admission into the University is through the CLAT exam, an all-India exam. Securing an AIR less than 1000 would guarantee a seat at NUALS through the All India quota. There are separate reservations for Kerala State students, SC, ST, Persons with disabilities, etc.

My Mini India

Admission:

We get admission only through JEE held every year.Any 12th pass candidate can give JEE exam and can get admission in NIT only after he pass the JEE exam and apply for JOSAA Counsellling.JEE , its a 3 hrs exam consisting of 90 question , 30 from Physics, Maths and chemistry each. Both 11th and 12th syllabus is asked. it basically checks ones's speed and conceptual knowledge but not so deep. question are of easy to moderate level.

Admission:

Admissions for the PhD course are held on the basis of an entrance exam called the departmental admission test or DAT. The candidate must have score 55% in his under graduation in my case I pass the DAT with flying colours and got admission.

National University of Advanced Legal Studies provides with ba llb course to the students who have passed 10 +2 or equivalent from any recognized Indian Board and have given CLAT entrance exam. Based on merit, the students will be called for the interview.
