At NITC, final-year students can engage in placement drives, which run throughout the year, attracting top companies like Google, Microsoft, Gameloft, Accenture, and Micron. The average salary package ranges from 10 to 12 lakhs, with some offers reaching up to 75 lakhs. The placement success rate is high, with about 90% of students securing jobs by graduation. While IT companies dominate the placement scene, core companies such as MRF, Micron, and L&T also recruit, especially for materials science students.
Internship opportunities are available during the 2nd and 3rd years, but competition is higher due to limited company participation. Accenture and Goldman Sachs are notable companies offering internships. Faculty support is available to help students find internships. The fee structure is income-based: students from families earning over 5 lakh INR annually pay about 60,000 INR per semester, those with an income between 1-5 lakh INR pay around 26,000 INR, and students with income less than 1 lakh INR do not pay tuition fees.
Fees have been rising each year. On average, hostel expenses, including the mess bill, are about 6,500 INR monthly. Students are encouraged to pursue scholarships independently, as there are no campus employment opportunities, leading them to seek external work options.
